This is actually my favorite sequel. The first Halloween was the first slasher movie I ever went to as a kid and have always loved this franchise. I choose Halloween (2018) because to me it picked up 40 years after the original film and just brought closure to me from when I was 13 until now. It really showed how the events from the first film ruined the rest of Laurie’s life and I think that was a big part of the puzzle that needed to be filled in. Thx for all your reviews and can honestly say I enjoy this channel for your honest and straight forward approach to movie reviewing. Rock on my friend!!!

Halloween 4 is my favorite sequel, and that's 100% nostalgia talking. First one I remember having recorded off tv as a kid and I would watch it relentlessly.

The 2018 one for me. It stayed true to the feel of the original and really serviced the fans with lots of tasty Easter eggs sprinkled throughout. That opening of the Jack 'O Lantern reforming in the opening credits was enough to make any fan of the original pump their fists in joy. It brought in the modern intensity of today's horror without the nasty aftertaste of Rob Zombie's films, and it did wonders to make us forget about "Woo Ha!" Busta Rhymes and that disaster that was Resurrection. If someone told us 40 years after the original, we'd get such a strong Halloween installment, no one would have believed it.

Halloween 2018 is easily my favorite sequel. It just hit all the right bells for me that some of the other movies lacked. Plus it was an amazing nostalgia trip.

The original Halloween 2, the nostalgia around it and I love the early 80s feel of the movie. One of the first horror movies I saw and it really gave me a love for the series.

Halloween 4 is my favorite sequel. It was my favorite as a kid so it holds a bit of childhood memories for me. The Goonies, House 2 and Halloween 4 were my staples as a young one. I haven’t seen 2018 as of yet but very excited to.

My favorite Halloween sequel is Rob Zombie's Halloween II because I think it did something really interesting with the franchise and with it letting Rob Zombie get away from straight remakes and do his own really made this entry feel fresh and fun

Hi: The new 2018 would be my favorite sequel. It had all the elements of a “True” sequel 40 years down the road. I can’t think of any other movies that have done this except Psycho 2 which was 22 years after Hitchcock’s masterpiece.

Halloween 4 is the one I grew up watching, cuz it was on AMC every Halloween. How I started watching the other Halloween movies is when I started buying them for myself later in life.

My favorite sequel takes place on the very same night as the original: Halloween II. I remember watching it as a kid. Over and over again, on a VHS I copied from tv, which contained the commercials. It was really funny that one Thanksgiving when my grandpa came over, first to show up at our house, I played the "chase" scene near the movie's end, then rewound it, and watched it again. I can't recall how many times I played it, but I'm sure he was none too pleased. I don't think my grandpa liked me all that much; he had no pictures of him and me, only of him and my cousin, whom shared interests. Maybe he thought I wanted to be like Michael Myers...? Thinking about that day brings a smile to my face, so thank you for asking :-)

Love this channel. To me first always the best.... that said Halloween 2 was the best sequal since it provided a twist that Laurie was his sister which provided context to the madness and made it real where you can get into the mind of people like this in real life. It took things to another level and you knew at that point where this Halloween franchise had potential to go and that we were ready to embark on a journey for a very long time.

Not a slasher fan but my we caught the world premiere at the film festival. And... wow, just great. "It does what it says on the tin" - only better. No spoilers - but scary, gory, engaging and surprisingly funny. Great acting. I'm not converted to be a slasher fan, but this gets my big thumbs up. Bravo. 4kmovies co

As a Horror fan, Halloween is my favorite Horror franchise! The original is one of my favorite films of all time! But my favorite sequel is Halloween 4, it may not be the best sequel or have the best version of Michael Myers, but the ending to that movie scared me so much when I was a little kid & it’s stayed with me ever since. 4 is the one I rewatch the most & I just think it’s a fun movie.

Great review! Halloween is definitely my favorite horror movie as well. I think there's a ton of similarities between Halloween 2018 and The Force Awakens and actually made a video on it. I really like the embossed cover but I ended up getting the steelbook.

My favorite is Halloween II. Saw it in cinema on Halloween 1981 and the cinema employees were dressed up. The guy who checks the exits was dressed as MM. I was sitting in the last row of the auditorium and he scared the devil out of me when he walked by. He then either stuck the mask on a pole in the projection booth or sat there watching the movie, as when I looked at the projection booth window MM was looking out towards the screen. To this day I will not sit in the seat closest to the aisle in an auditorium and I catch myself looking back up at the projection booth window sometimes.

That is probably one of the hardest questions I have ever been asked. I have yet to see the 2018 Halloween which is killing me slowly, but I absolutely love all of the Halloween movies. The Rob Zombie movies aren't my favorite, however when it comes between the rest, I would have to go with Halloween II. It is a great movie in everyway possible! I cannot wait to see the 2018 sequal just because it is a Halloween movie!

I can’t wait to pick this! It was one of my favorites from last year. Nothing beats the original but this one was good. And the shocker for me was Danny McBride. Huge fan of the guy....as a comedian. Would not have expected his name to be attached to this movie. Can’t wait to see it again! Probably gonna go with it as my favorite sequel. Others are great, but this one wins for me.

Halloween 3. Even if it doesnt have Michael in it, i think of all sequels (i havent seen the 2018 one) it captured the holiday spirit best. It may not have most goriest kills, but i like the whole weird small town cult thing going on, reminiscent of the Wicker Man. I also adore the whole meta satirical thing, where they show first movie on tv.

honestly I'm gonna get flack for this but I think h20 is the best in terms of its story, I like the concept of Jamie changing her identity and hiding out as the head of this school and having the deal with Micahel popping out and possibly hurting her son ,just overall a great concept and really builds tension. it never slows down, the kills are pretty brutal, and the ending fight sequence is just awesome. Its a shame its no considered canon cuz it's my favorite of the sequels

Definitely check places like the Facebook marketplace, too. It's amazing how cheap you can get Blurays for, especially when someone is offloading multiple titles. There have been many times when I've spend $30 on a bunch of used Blurays that would have easily cost $130 or more retail.

If you're thinking of getting into 4K movies id wait until black Friday. I got some really good deals on 4K's this year. Also walmart's $5 and $7 blurays bins are a good place also.

I've seen all of them and other than the first two my all time fave is Halloween H20 & it's because as much of a threat as Micheal is like the new one while being scared Laurie strode is tired of being haunted by Micheal so she goes at him , even the ending is badass till resurrection undid micheals death . My favourite Halloween sequel has to HALLOWEEN 2018 no doubt. Jamie Lee is the best Laurie Strode has ever been and Myers is back to being the evil and animal Loomis said he was back in the ‘78 you knew when Michael was on-screen and a normal human being was as Michael is a pure savage animal. Best Carpenter music since the classic. It got almost everything right that the other sequels did not.

My favorite sequel is Halloween H20. JLC was badass and it came out at the perfect time of my childhood. That was the first Halloween movie I actually saw because I remembered it going into theaters and everything about it was awesome.
