Always like anything you do. Interesting the book was written from the screenplay. First you talked about your new lighting. Interesting I had just finished watching My Bloody Valentine in 3D. I have it to watch with green and blue glasses. At first your lighting caused me to check my eyes. I put my glasses on and felt you were now in 3D. 😬 You point out some important points. Books have to describe all the characters and it can give you a different prospective. Good job.

I recently rewatched the 2018 Halloween, and this time I thought it was kind of okay. I reckon I’d enjoy the book more, though, it sounds interesting. I particularly like the little snippets of Michael’s point of view. He almost sounds like a psychopathic artist when he describes the knife gleam as satisfying, almost like a painter admiring the brush they’ve chosen. By the way, excellent new background, it looks cozy. Happy early Samhain!

Loved this comparison video! You outdid yourself maggot mommy! The new aesthetic is giving nightmare on elm street with the red and green lighting and you’re killing it! The way you read the text from the book; you should do audiobooks! I’d listen to ‘em! The book honestly sounds more compelling than the movie with all the lore and more darker take on the story. I’m more for that kinda dark stuff like suicide and substance abuse just cuz it makes the story feel heavier and resonates deeper. Like I can relate to Allison being nervous about her future cuz I feel the same. But, in the end, all the Strodes seem to reconcile and finally defeat Michael (or so it seems…). All the other characters seem to be more dark and gross in the book but I feel like that just makes it feel more real like all that bullshit would happen like Hawkins obeying his boss or all the Cameron lore (like we even needed that lol). Also, did the book still have that scene of oscar walking Allison home and creepin on her? In the end, I’ll just stick with the movie, but my favorite bit of trivia was learning that James Jude Courtney and David Gordon Green both visualized Michael as being very cat like! Never thought a little kitty would inspire one of the great slasher performances but I’m all about it! Can’t wait for the Halloween Kills Comparison!

I wonder about the un-aliving contemplation deleted scene, Michael is in that scene, yet he's not mentioned in the script. I guess it's similar to him being there whene Laurie screams in her car at Smith's Grove. As far as Karen not trying to help Laurie with her ptsd, maybe she tried but Laurie didn't go for it.

I’m pretty sure you’re right about movie novelizations being written based off the original script and not the actual finished movie. I remember reading the novelization of Dream Warriors as a kid and there was a scene where Freddy straight up turned into a dragon to fight Will.

I do like Halloween 2018, but I immediately wanted Ray to get got the MINUTE he said that line. NO ONE TALKS LIKE THAT! Strawberry milk was a big deal back in the 70s and 80s. I used to drink it as a child. Perhaps it has something to do with her being stunted in that time? She hasn't moved on from the time frame. You know what I also notice in all of these books...The sheriff still has no storyline and really didn't'serve a purpose lol I hate so much that they had NO plans for a trilogy and want to brain wash us into thinking they did. Stop acting like your audience is stupid. We aren't. There is also an ending we didn't get that was more definitive. That shot of Laurie outside in the trailer with the knife under all the lights is the scene I wanted and they cut it. That scene got me so excited to see the movie. Whatever happened here was supposed to be a final ending and someone changed their minds and made them change the ending. That tells you there was no plan for even a sequel. Ugh its frustrating, lol. Our biggest complaint was the inconsistency in storyline between 4-6 and...they did it again lol

Always a pleasure to return to this cult when I can. Praise be to the antichrist. I've been in writer mode for a while, thinking of reinterpretations of slasher properties. Some probably seem dumb and redundant, but in the bigger picture, I think it would actually go a long way for slasher films. Excluding Scream, though I have ideas for Scream films, they would be separate from the rest since Scream is its own meta beast. But things like Friday, Nightmare, Child's Play, Halloween, Texas, and maybe some others would definitely be on my hit list. I'm also thinking about Carrie, but I know she's a specifically Steven King thing, so I dunno how that'd work.

Great green lighting Kylie! I think the shower sex scene is very illuminating for one very specific reason. It shows how much they don't really take Michael that seriously. They fetishise him instead, and it's that overall mindset that gets them killed. When I saw the movie in theaters it felt like there was a scene missing to show how unserious they really were. I guess that was the missing scene? Maybe? Not sure. I started the novelisation a while ago. I should finish it. Also I had strawberry milk as a kid. It tasted good but the Nesquick version was pure chemicals and sugar. Then again chocolate milk isn't much different haha Also banana milk was a thing in the '90's. I didn't like that one.
