Hard to believe it's been 35 years I remember that year very clearly thanks for showing that.

As far as I'm concerned, this was the last time that anybody even TRIED to adhere to the original approach. Once the 90's rolled around, everything became about gimmicks....bring Jamie Lee back, introduce a cult, bring in rappers to diversify the franchise, bring Jamie Lee back, let Zombie do some remakes, incorporate some reality tv, bring Jamie Lee back...Halloween 5 was all about Michael stalking people, and Loomis stalking HIM...and all set on or around October 31...If that's how you define a Halloween movie, as I do, then you really don't have that many options...There's 1, 2, 4, and 5...and that's about IT...

HALLOWEEN 5 has always been known as the one that has the most painfully irritating heroine in the entire series in the character of "Tina". Every scene she's in either she's doing something dumb like not listening to advice or acting like an overgrown child. It's also the film which really turned the series into something derivative. Donald Plesence was great as the increasingly unhinged Dr. Loomis, though you just know he wouldn't like this to be his definitive role. The one saving grace is Danielle Harris as Jamie. Her acting is something that a person much older would have had a challenge with, but you could really tell this young actress was going places!
