Most definitely want to see it. You can’t leave us hanging this far in lol……. I like to use a small handheld router on my letters, just set it shallow then use my burs to blend.. yours looks amazing I just don’t have that patience or skill yet with the burrs lol. Btw: that’s a good lookin bur box you got there. I might need to get me one of those lol

I love my bur box, just sayin. Haha. Had to fight Jamie over it 😅. I have a router thingy but it's big and I haven't played with it. Well I say it's big, to me it is. You have the skill bud, and I'm telling ya , doing this teaches you to have patience 🤣✌️ If all goes well I will try and do a LIVE tomorrow. Depends on how busy the shop it.

It's looking good, funny you don't realize how much work raised letters are until you carve a few. But you got the right idea. Just keep trying different bits until you find the one that works best for that piece of wood. Great carve!

Oooooooh the name looks like it is creeping out of the wood. Please show live colouring, I want to learn more from you. Fingers are great...... You could go deeper between each finger then just round the edges. But I bet your colour will do the same for you......... Really really looking forward to seeing you colour..... Fingers crossed

Not sure on type of wood. It's pretty hard stuff. The last book I didn't wasn't as hard. And with this one there was still sap in it. I get these from a guy Jamie knows.
