The reason why Hershey’s has a weird taste is because unlike European milk chocolate where the milk is powdered and tastes like normal milk Hershey used fresh milk when making the bars and because the liquid in the milk had to be heated and basically cooked out it ended up making the milk sour and so ever since then the sour milk has been a part of the Hershey bars flavor Please note I’m not here to endorse Hershey I just have way to much time to learn random things
