for the offside rule, Why not just have a 10 second timer on it? This will keep the initial intent of the rule (egregious offside misses on the rush), while eliminating the scavenger hunt for minute and a half old offsides after sustained zone time.

Kevin, thanks for this podcast and for sharing honest opinion on playing in Barys. No doubt, you made huge contribution to the team along with Bochenski, Daws, Boyd and others. Even from the sport popularisation perspective that was a good idea initially… But it’s true, that local players are at lower level as per skill concerns. However, it’s also true that they didn’t get enough time to practice in games, because most of time you guys played - again, GM needed to win and to do so, he would use your skills at most. And yes, we all (fans as well) expected you to play and score, but as you rightly mentioned, you were paid way more than locals, you were getting most ice time and not often you could produce results. So the expectations from both GM and fans were huge. Now Barys is playing it the other way around, making sure locals get most ice time. Surely, the club is lagging behind, but it needs time. If we always rely on “imports” as you say, then the situation won’t change. This year our national team did pretty well on international level with only Kazakhs on the team. I guess this is the right way to do. Again, thanks for your contribution, but only locals might play for our country with true heart and dedication, same goes for playing for Barys.

I’ve always thought they should make the blue line thinner that way the puck crosses into the zone faster and negates a lot of the close offsides especially with the speed of the game now, or make the the blue line part of the offensive zone and use the edge of the blue line touching the neutral zone as the indicator for offsides like they do if the puck is already in the zone, enough of this flip flopping leading edge crap in the rule. That way if you see blue between the puck and the neutral zone it’s onside.

I worked at Damish hospital as it was torn down where they filmed parts of one flew over the kookoos nest was filmed(basketball,group therapy sessions).anyway the night watchman said in the morgue on one of the locker things on the inside had fingernail scratches down to the copper of the stainless steel.i went inside the building creepiest place EVER! same green walls but abandoned and chipped I wouldn't go in the rooms too freaky, bad juju!
