I find myself coming back to this song quite often. It brings me back to a time of comfort, a time of less worry. The only things that mattered were having fun with my friends on Halo 3. Going through the campaign, playing ranked trying to get as high of a level as we could, endless fun custom games, making maps on forge together. Every day after school, partying up and having some of the best times of our life. We didn't even know it at the time. I'm almost 26 now and i'd do anything to go back to those days. It hurts knowing it won't ever be the same, though im glad most of us here got to experience it. Rest in peace Halo 3, rest in peace my childhood. Never forget

Man, I remember the day's where me and my brothers would all grab a controller, some snacks, and a few pops to play some halo. We would argue over who got to play Chief and had the best time of our lives, the nice days where it was simple! Fun and enjoying! Thank you Halo 3 for bringing us that joy, love, and good memories. Hearing this song takes me back, as I'm sure it does for anyone reading this comment. I don't have the memories of playing online or with friends like most Halo fans do, but I still cherish those afternoons, nights, and weekends of putting too much time into customizing the Chief, playing through the game multiple times because finishing the fight never got old, and just being in the world of Halo instead of the real world for a time. Sure, it was usually just me, but I didn't mind that. I was the kind of kid who enjoyed time alone, especially when there was a good game to escape into... and the Halo games were much more than good, they were great. This applies to the music just as much as the gameplay or any other aspect of the series. Back then I didn't know the name of this piece, it was just that beautiful music that played on the menu, but it always created the exact right mood, and all these later the track has stuck with me. The title "Never Forget" is fitting, because a gamer never forgets the good times they had with a game, whether it's solo offline, couch co-op, or online multiplayer: the memories are forever, and to me they are a reminder that there were good times, and that there will be good times again. Never Forget.

Whenever I listen to this, I always feel sad, but also very happy This track has such a feeling of... "Those days were amazing, but you've moved on and that's a good thing. You have good memories of your childhood, but you have to move on, it doesn't mean you have to forget those days. Hey buddy, you should rlly get to playing them sometime! I rlly suggest not going on social media / searching anything up because LOTS OF SPOILERS and this game is best played blind imo Play CE first, then 2 , 3 & ODST then reach :D then play halo 4 5 and infinite…. I guess 🗿 but play the bungie games in that order at least :D Good luck! if you ever get round to it

I actually am I going to say something in disagreement with the other guy here. You should play Halo CE, 2, ODST, and then 3 and Reach in that order. 4 & Infinite are pretty good story wise I'd recommend them as someone who's been playing Halo since 2001, 5 is kinda trash just watch a playthrough of it if you want the story.

Halo 3 was awesome, the first 2 were just as groundbreaking for their time and smacked the world the same. No single game of the trilogy stands above the rest, halo 2 was probably my favorite multiplayer experience but when halo ce first came out there wasn’t anything even close to it
