Long ago at that time long before the halo TV show ever existed I thought if they can’t make a live action movie or any live action halo project then they could at least do one with CGI since the cgi I’m four was so perfect for its time

shouldve been Majestic that went after Blue team - the fire team leader (Paul) seems like a good combatant to Master chief - and Thorn deserved more development considering he helped Halsey
@WarGrowlmon189 ай бұрын
They intended to make Thorne a part of Osiris, but the actor was unavailable so they went with Buck instead. DeMarco died in the comics.

How Would You Rate Spartan Ops? 1 To 5 stars
@godfearing96452 жыл бұрын
I think when it was released if I were to have played it as the episodes were released and with friends, I would have given it 4.5 stars easily. Playing it years later with only one friend halfway through, maybe a 2.5. seemed like the online support just wasn't there anymore. Very laggy, and very grindy playing it all this time later

Alone 2 stars, there is good stuff but some of the missions really show you aren't supposed to play it solo. With a group, I would imagine it is 4.5 as you have extra pairs of hands doing stuff and taking down bad guys. I completed the whole thing in solo legendary and MAN it was a headache. Very doable just really tough.

I never played through the Spartan Ops 'cause I didn't have friends with xboxes, in the end I just couldn't care 'cause I hated Palmer from the get go and do so to this date. Story itself is great insight of Spartan IV's and how they are effectively "just ODST's" crammed ionto Mjölnir- armor (Hell, Buck is an former ODST). Halsey makes that surely as her view and doesn't shame to say it. What rubs me the wrong most is how often Palmer is ready to execute Halsey where she stands. If she truly were Spartan, she'd make honor to her as she is the mother of Spartans. Even Jorge, the goddamn giant calls Halsey "Mom" and speaks to her like he'd be afraid to disappoint her, which the Spartan III's present saw seemingly as odd behavior from him. If Spartan II's call her mom and honors her fully knowing they are child soldiers and their lives were taken from them without their consent and sees the bigger picture, then should the predecessor generations do as well. Shows what happens when ONI takes the initiative from competent people and throws them under the bus as scapegoats. If any of the Spartan II's would be present when Palmer pulls her magnum out on Halsey, she'd have multiple fractures on all of her limbs before even being fully able to pull her gun up.

Spartan-IV’s were “raised” differently, you could say. Since the end of the Human-Covenant war, Dr. Halsey’s actions were properly investigated and found to be ethically and morally compromised. The original Spartans were made to fight human insurrectionists after all, not alien threats. Which makes conscription of children for the Spartan-II’s and -IIIs even more egregious (AFAIK, all Spartan-I’s died with adult volunteers). The arrival of the Covenant made it easier to justify continued Spartan deployment, since they proved very effective despite questionable ethics. Only Spartan-IV’s were successful with adult military volunteers, most likely (I didn’t read the expanded lore comics or novels beyond Ghosts of Onyx) due to refined augmentation processes, better conditioning, or improved Mjolnir armor design.
@Joni_Tarvainen7 ай бұрын
Yep, upbringing of IV's was pretty much polar opposite with II's and III's. Halsey's methods were morally questionable even if II's would have raised to fight Covenant, which they weren't as you said. I would say that III's were the most inhumane. By my memory (correct me if I'm wrong) III's were pretty much just war orphaned kids raised by ONI as zealots that were deployed as more expendable as II's. II's were hand chosen by Halsey who wanted the best genes and mental fortitude. III's were war orphans whom were adopted by ONI and raised for revenge. IV's Former ODST's and well performing adult soldiers that volunteers on Spartan program. The reason for the claim how any Spartan II would had practically destroyed Palmer for her actions is pretty much just to show how intensive their indoctrination actually was. Where any given Spartan IV will have some slight hesitation, even if by milliseconds, on any situation, Spartan II's don't have that 'cause they have never known normal life like IV's have.

i wonder, why didnt 343 keep this spartan ops for mcc? instead of just giving us missions to do? there was a whole storyline, now there isnt

Halo 4 while the aesthetics, art style, and gameplay were significantly worse than previous halos, the story is very well done. The main campaign and spartan ops were very well written. In all honesty -The Didact should've never been killed off and should've stayed as the main antagonist for the rest of the series -Jul Mdama should've also not been killed in Halo 5. -In Halo 5 we should've played as Fireteam Majestic, as all Spartans are now commanded to hunt the chief down since he went AWOL. Campaign should've included Jun from reach since he survived and is apart of training Spartans. Should've included Noble 6 as the one hunting Chief down as the one from ONI. -Arbiter should've returned and assisted Chief as well as Shipmaster. -The Spirit of Fire should've been featured in the game as well. -Master Chief should finally be re-united with Halsey and asked to fix Cortana only for it to be unsuccessful. -Buck should remain an ODST with his previous squad protecting civilians.

Unfortunately not, the continuation of this story line can be found in Halo 5: Guardians. The last mission of Halo Spartan Ops was released in February of 2013 which is the last cinematic you see before the credits. I'm glad you enjoyed it! 3/5 from me. I love studio 343 and the Halo franchise. The 2022 TV series had the best-ever, most realistic CGI ever produced. Took me a good 30 sec to realize these were NOT flesh and bones actors. THAT series, considering the storyline, the deeper characterization and a good degree of actual science, plus the plot - cute human girl goes Trojan Horse, well... it's best ever to me so I give that one a 5/5. I wish for a new season with a full series of 25 + episodes. That's a far cry from Halo's first days with very limited views and "if it moves, shoot it!" Thanks for showing it.

Yeah, I haven't seen the new show yet but will be looking forward to watching it when I get some time. I've heard mixed reviews from those who appreciate the continuity of the lore in the books and the games, but I usually can look past it and appreciate it for what it is.
