@Austin Speidel You have a fair amount of UNSC missions. The rookie is always alone; (until the end) but the other ODSTs get plenty of actual combat with the marines. Buck walks through multiple skirmishes on his way to Dare. Dutch leads a warthog charge against enemy forces in the nature preserve; Mickey and dutch help a combined UNSC and police force as they fall back into a building, and there are some others. A lot of ODST's campaign still has Marines.

Im glad i switched over to this vid instead of the first one. Amazing aim, isn't oblivious to being shot at, and most of all not a general moron when it comes to weapon choice for each enemy. The last guy used a shotgun on a grunt and struggled to even hit targets in the first place. It looked like he was watching a walkthrough while making one it was hurting my eye's. The only thing that I dislike about 5, other than the overall aesthetic, is Jameson Locke. Such a boring, uninteresting character that the game basically forces you to play as for most of its duration. It's very simple for me when I play a Halo game; I want to play as the Chief. Even the Arbiter, who is the coolest motherfucker in this entire franchise, isn't as appealing to play as.

There are a lot of good reasons that explained the hate towards this game, but in my opinion it suffers the same that Halo 4 suffers and it is that it looks like a Halo game, but it is not. The game mechanics, the maps all are wrong,,, this sounds like a hater ultra fan, but not I am not Halo franchise has an identity like COD, BattleField, Ghost Recon, Raimbow Six and so on. 343 tried hard to be different to Bungie till the point the franchise lost its identity. The people in 343 are pros, MS Xbox won´t hire rookies, but it is a matter of direction... see this happened to Xbox One, CEO wanted to produce a Roku instead of an Xbox the results: be behind for a lot of the Nintendo Switch.

Master Chief is 47 years old in Halo 5.

Well Chief is a Spartan II and they were brought up to be soldiers from a very young age. The Spartan II's received their first enhancements at 14 whereas Locke is a Spartan IV. Spartan IV's were volunteers into the Spartan IV program and their enhancements weren't as significant as the Spartan II's because they were given when they were already adults. If that fight scene was lore accurate Locke wouldn't have landed a punch, in fact Chief could've probably taken out the entire Osiris team singlehandedly.

Watching this gameplay reminds me of why I skipped Halo 5, but didn’t skip Halo Infinite. In my opinion, Halo 5 is like Halo 3 ODST, but without saying it in name. Its gameplay is similar enough to be in the Halo universe, but Halo 5 should have just been a spinoff game following Locke and his team and completely exclude Master Chief. Could have called it Halo: Next Generation or something. Its gameplay is too far of a leap from classic Halo gameplay to be a sequel.
