In a way I can vouch for that. Elites tend to stay still where as a soldier will warp around and hit more. The best time to hit them is when you knock of their armor. In my experience, if you try and go for the "double melee" on a soldier, you often end up paying the price...because it actually takes three or four hits to melee them to death. Where as with an Elite you can somewhat get away with jumping the gun on them and going full Muhammad Ali on them. That is if it's not one of the generals...

why did it seem like the elites melees weren't doing any damage to the soldier? he meleed it like 3 times after its armor got knocked off but it just stood there like nothing, and then the soldier can apparently kill an unshielded elite in one melee? that just doesn't seem right

they didn't even shoot each other, the entire fight was like entirely melee, and the soldier switched its lightrifle to a suppressor midway through the fight

P.W.A.M it's kinda like halo 2....elites were better but had weapons that were only good for shields vs brutes with better plasma rifles.

the map is called Attack on Sanctum, the opening part of the game literally has elites and prometheans fighting each other, this took place in the middle base of the map
