Halo: CE 100% (Legendary) Walkthrough Part 3 - Truth and Reconciliation (No Commentary)

This episode was a particular one for me. Some parts were freezing between loading/checkpoints so I tried to edit them for a smoother quality. However, at 24:02 my marines teleported in behind me to catch up so I left it in since this is still a deathless run so far and obviously something like that would be very suspicious if I tried to edit that. This is all probably due to the fact I'm running this game off a two decade old CD-ROM so I'll take what I can get. Enjoy!

Yeah, true... but it kinda beats the MCC Classic mode for now, since that doesn't have the original sounds as far as I've heard (unless you don't care and just be focused on the graphics and the HUD; here's hoping a Season 9 for the MCC remedies the sounds).

7 out 15 Marines isn't too bad considering that you only had 2 die at the lift area which people lose much more. The Hanger is probably the most difficult area to not lose Marines though as the Covenant on the levels above have the advantage, the only consolation is that once they guard the Control Center they are scripted to die anyways so its really only 2 Marines, but very impressive regardless, you put yourself in major danger and handled yourself well!

@@StarMarshal yeah the marines are just to weak to survive that long. and there offense is terrible shooting in short burst winch lowers there survivability. there literally the definition of canon fodder lol

@@robbycricket6611 actually it's because when you reach the bridge they'll stay behind to watch the area while you get Captain Keyes. Upon returning you find them all dead with three invisible sword elites in the room so it's clear what happened.

The Gold Elite R called Zealots, they R the most highly ranked Elites & R very skilled with the energy sword & there so powerful they they can take down a Spartan Super Soldier without hesitation.

Thankfully, they're kinda easy to beat since they're only armed with such short range weapons (and don't have the OP charge mechanic).

Of course, the other games aren't slouches either, Bungie era Marines are always the best... until the 343 era though. Infinite has some great lines, however, especially one pertaining to holding the Assault Rifle.

For an advanced race, the Covenant still doesn't have advanced thermal radars for the T&C. Either that, or it was partially damaged sometime back. And cue the only time(?) the Sniper Rifle is armed way beyond normal capacity. 0:50: Hearing that iconic Splinter Cell NVG sound. Also, better off firing at the enemy FIRST in this case, Cortana. Sorry. 2:50: Buh-bye. Not gonna lie, the music at the 3:00 mark sounds a bit like it's from a Volition work, particularly the FreeSpace games. It also foreshadows the importance of Africa in the sequels. Love your use of the Active Camo when nearing the gravity lift. Feels like you're giving the Stealth Elites above quite a middle finger. 11:40: Enter the Hunter/Mgalekgolo (singular: Lekgolo; "Mga-" is also a Filipino prefix for "many" or "lots", so feel free to search for it if you want to know the pronunciation). They almost always come in pairs, the nasty worms. Also, pray you're armed with the M6D Magnum whilst fighting them. (SM didn't have one here, but he did surprisingly well with a few Sniper Rifle rounds, some close combat, and a lot of surviving Marines doing cover fire.) And to think the gravity lift wasn't actually part of the original plan... it ended up being a suitably practical, logical, and memorable replacement for a ramp idea. 12:45: You and your big frakking mouth, Marine! 16:05: Sgt. Parker and his men won't make it. Getting Predator/Yautja and Meta (from RvB) vibes with the Active Camo use. Good. Gooooooooood. 26:40: I heard that, Cort. 29:55: Whoopsy-doopsy. Talk about a lot of dead UNSC prisoners all around the ship. Sure is a war crime, but then again, the Covenant are waging a holy war of extermination against humanity via the orders of their Prophets (all because of a horrifying truth involving Reclaimers and the Great Journey since Contact Harvest). 37:50: Rescue success... now for exposition. Also, Keyes was armed with a Needler so to make him look more distinct and easier to spot. Pretty neat (although you better hope he doesn't spam fire his Needler on Covenant corpses... that sure won't end well). 42:20: Don't you dare do a Pvt. Hudson, Marine! 43:55: RAMMING SPEED!!! All done.

Are you gonna stop to see poor Foehammer's fall or just drive on? (Also, the Thirsty Grunt. Are you gonna stop for him or are you just gonna show him via an outtake? Same goes for the other odd Grunts in the following games, especially the one in H3.)

The Hunters R actually a bunch of eel like creatures forming a colony in the same matter that a Portuguese man o' war is made up of a bunch of Jellyfish forming a colony.

Yes, called the Mgalekgolo, singular being a Lekgolo. They also make up the Scarab walkers shown in the sequels, alongside some important building infrastructure like factories (as mostly seen in some multiplayer maps).

Wow you made this look so easy, I was able to get past the first half of the mission until I boarded the ship and eventually gave up because I kept dying over and over again in that very first room where all hell breaks loose with the covenant coming out of those doors wave after wave. Man was that difficult, I got my ass kicked for good.

It's certainly one of the toughest sections on Legendary mode. I suggest lots and lots of plasma grenades to bottleneck the doorways and use the plasma pistol over the AR or Sniper Rifle.

I’ve managed to get to the part of the level at 24:12 but in the process of getting there, I’ve lost all the marines and it’s an absolute pain to kill enemies all by myself, considering just restarting the level to preserve the marines as best as I can. What do you think I should do?

Marines are good at distracting enemies. What seems to be giving you the most trouble? Are you running out of ammo? What weapons do you have equipped?
