Nice I was 4 and CE was the first video game I ever played. I was stuck on PoA for several days and I distinctly remember when I finally finished it and saw Halo for the first time. I'll never forget clumsily leaving the lifepod, Halo was the Star Wars of our generation.

Crazy that you captured my experience so well. I played the Demo for Halo on the OG Xbox a ton of times and for a long time Silent Cartographer was my primary experience with the game. Then I got the full game after months of pleasing with my mom, and then.. this. Halo was such a marvel of a game for its time, but there was nothing like hearing Covenant Dance for the first time and just wanting to bare knuckle fist fight an elite.
