Halo Reach: But there's Longswords, and more, Mod | Community Showcase Trailer

So this is a trailer for a MCC Halo Reach mod I've been working on since 2023. This trailer was originally intended for the Community showcase but that was pushed back from December of 2023 to January of 2024. So uh, I figured I should just release it now.
Before I pull a classic move and accidently delete the project file
The mod is still unfinished, due to it being the more recent of the two it is currently receiving more attention from me.
(I just need to mention this I'm not a part of the VKMT team, I just made this for their Community Showcase.)

@@confusedsiren56 vehicle is a Deutoros pattern Heavy Infantry Excavator from Halo 3, nicknamed "Scarab". Also I recommend you to play vanilla reach among other halo games as my mod will throw alot of curve balls at you.

@@Sigma-gb9yd nah I was thinking of the ones that show up in Firefight for weapon drops, they are physically smaller and have a different design than the Longsword in Halo CE-so smaller I assumed Shortsword. Apparently it’s just another variant. But OP is right, looking up Shortsword it’s the Halo Wars ones.

I ADRORE the silly but still bad ass overexaggerance of everything, especially the scarab and the spirit! Reminds me of the Halo Wars designs, which I think Halo totally benefits from. It really brings out the anime roots lol

fun fact in the level "The Ark" in halo 3 you can listen in on UNSC comms inside a downed pelican and hear a pilot in a damaged longsword over the comms sacrificing themselves by flying their ship into a covenant carrier

Ok so that vehicle just gets an orbital strike in that cutscene, everything is at night now, Kat has a helmet light, building exploding for some reason, the Spirit dropship looks goofy now because it has 2 extra turrets on the front, CE style HUD, that Longsword just divebombs into the building for no reason, orbital strikes are replaced with a Longsword gifted from the heavens to bestow upon your enemies?? Tell me if I missed anything It’s like this mod adds one joke feature for every 3 serious features

You missed the scarab and the lich. And the covenant cars having lights. And the AA Cannons having spotlights And yes that is the point of the mod
