I love that part at 2:00, reminds me of when the flood dropped in on pods and gravemind let out a menacing and chilling war cry, I always got those goosebumps on my spine at that part and I knew the battle was commencing. Probably the best encounter in halo 3 imo.

It's nice to watch the clouds passing by on a sunny day with that. Sometimes i imagine to stand on the top of the world known as the Mount Everest and this music steps in and then enjoying the 360° view.

Halo shouldve ended with 3. The war with the Covenant was over, the Flood was neutralized, Humanity had a peace treaty with the Sangheli and the age of Spartans was over. I wouldnt have minded spinoffs of Arbiter crushing the Sangheli rebellion or that prequal of the forerunners we never got or even other side stories like ODST and Reach but there was no reason to continue after 3.

tbh i honestly think there could have been a really cool story to tell after 3, with a larger emphasis on the forerunners and precursors, maybe leaning into a more Lovecraftian feel for the beings themselves to add more horror elements, just that 343 wasted that potential by making the didact a space Voldemort lookin ass, and an all around disappointing story.
