This song is great!! Not only that, but it has a funny but true music video to go with it. In my honest opinion Halocene deserves much more attention than they get. At least make it so if I type "halocene" into google it doesn't say "did you mean Holocene", because they are a great band and deserve to be noticed.

This video still cracks me up......... at the end "what we really do" always reminds me of my cousin Jay. On the weekends he would be selling out shows with his band Thy Will Be Done, but during the week, he was just a store manager at a Hot Topic to pay the bills........... people always assume it's some glamorous lifestyle with money being thrown all over the place, but in reality, most bands struggle to make ends meet while still trying to pursue their passion and entertain their fans

I liked the vid, really original. It's always much easier to criticise but having a band is not easy as everybody thinks; it takes a lot of effort, it's constant learning and evolutioning. This is one of the biggest discussions...EVER. Every time I'm on KZbin and I watch a band with a female singer with dyed hair and an amazing voice (pop punk, rock, the genre doesn't really matter) I see the comments section over flowing with: 'Sounds like Paramore.' 'They're Hayley copy cats.' 'Her hair is dyed pink? She's definitely copying Paramore.' 'They're going to break up like Paramore. Just watch.' 'Dude, they copied Paramore down to the MIC STAND!' Okay, people. First of all, you can have colored hair and be the lead in a rock band. That's not you copying, that's you having fucking fun and being able to design your hair the way you want it to. Hayley was NOT the first female singer with dyed hair. Trust me. Second of all, female fronted pop punk bands don't sound like Paramore: they sound like pop punk. Are you all forgetting that Paramore are a pop punk band? Sure, other bands might get influenced by them, but they're all playing in THE SAME GENRE! That's almost like saying Megadeth sounds like Pantera. Uhh, they're both metal bands. The influence of metal is THERE. And this isn't only happening to female fronted pop punk bands, it's happening to female fronted punk, rock, and metal bands, too. (Yeah, seriously -_-) The only reason why people enjoy comparing them is this: They are highly successful and have been creating material since 2005. Any new pop punk band with a female vocalist will immediately be susceptible to the 'they're copying Paramore' dance. Furthermore, do you realize how disrespectful that is to the artists themselves? They try hard creating something that is original and fun. They have a message they want to get there. When you tell them, "You guys sound like Paramore! I love you!" that's a compliment AND a kick to the throat. You've insulted them AND told them you love them. That makes them feel like they didn't accomplish anything they were striving for. Bands don't want to sound the same. They want to be DIFFERENT. Do you know how many years it take for a band to come up with new material? They're not thinking, 'Let's steal what Paramore does.' and BOOM! they'll have a best selling album on the shelves in no time. They sit down and and spend hours trying to create something and you tell them those years were all for nothing. "Yeah, you guys may have worked your asses off, but you still sound like Paramore." You're basically saying that if you're female and pop punk, you're copying Paramore and you should just stop and get some ideas of your own. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a decline in female fronted pop punk bands in the future. Whew...there you go. I wasted minutes of your life having you read this.
