When I found out I was pregnant, I was alone in my house, in the bathroom, on the floor crying tears of joy and immense fear. It is an overwhelming acknowledgement that in many ways, who I am, or was, is no more. I carry the title “mother”. It truly is an honor and privilege to be a Mother, and as you see your belly grow week after week, out of your control, you fear and hope for your child. Pregnancy is made to be seen as a joy with all smiles, but deep down there is a dread and immense fear that often times manifests itself when you are utterly alone. Support from your husband, parents, family, friends …. It doesn’t matter. Pregnancy is done alone, and it is incredibly scary (although I know pregnancy is not a unique event, every individuals experience IS unique). This song hit me like a ton of bricks, because this is exactly how I felt.

“i won’t die for love but ever since I met u , u could have my heart and i would break it for u” just shows how Halsey went from a woman who wouldn’t die for love, or give up anything for her, until she had her baby, then she has so much unconditional love and that she would do anything for her baby. she will break her own heart for her baby, her opinion on love has shifted since she had her baby.

"1121" Well I won't die for love But I've got a body here to bury And if truth be told, it's scary 'Cause my shoulders are heavy already And yeah, I know The parts of myself that I've hated And I can't tell which ones are mine And which I created But I won't die for love But ever since I met you You could have my heart And I would break it for you And I won't die for love But ever since I met you You could have my heart And I would break it for you Take one in the temple My tongue is a vessel I try to be careful with The thing inside my chest You shoot for the memory So you can forget me I'd leave if you let me, oh But I won't die for love But ever since I met you You could have my heart And I would break it for you Please don't leave (I'm running out of time to tell you) Don't leave me in the shape you left me (I'm running out of things that I regret) Please don't leave (I'm running of time to tell you) Don't leave me in the shape you left me (I'm running out of things that I regret) Please don't leave Don't leave me in the shape you left me (You took me) Please don't leave Just leave me in the place you found me Safe and soundly I won't die for love But ever since I met you You could have my heart And I would break it for you I won't die for love But ever since I met you You could have my heart And I would break it for you
