Glad I am not the only one with senior moments. My last, I was using my 100 watt 40db attentuator to align a wattmeter, then later decided to work on my amp. My attenuator is now smoke free, I let it all out :)

I heard a story about lots of people tracking down a continuous key once. The owners cat had knocked the computer keyboard against the paddle and there it stayed till found.

It happens. Glad you found it without too much trouble. Thank you for posting this because I have done something very similar very recently and now I don't feel so "bone-headed" LOL. Mine was an MFJ-492 menu driven keyer with a dead lithium (bios?) battery. It was locked up in the 'TUNE' position. 73 de K7RMJ Frank

A reason to give cw away? Btw the gel battery prefers to be horzontal.

You probably will feel about as silly as I did. And this is what I hoped, that viewers would be guessing along through the vid, just as I was trying to figure it out.

Kevin Loughin That's the best way to learn by mistakes teaches us to never do a lot of things ever again...I don't mind feeling silly or being laughed at as long as we all learn something New keep up the good work...
