Hamas offered to release the hostages on Oct 9 in exchange for no invasion of Gaza. Israel rejected this. Israel demands a "final solution" for Palestinians. The people they pretend never existed ( a land without a people) do exist. Israeli colonial settlers have displaced and excluded them from their homes and land physically and politically. For them to not exist is what Israel finds acceptable, and somehow, these people don't want to do what Israel wants them to do and disappear. The pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel's colonisation of Palestine.

They repurpose the faulty 1- and 2-ton bombs that Israel drops. It’s about a 2-6% failure rate and thousands have been dropped everywhere. Each bomb has about 800lbs of TNT if I remember correctly. The aid trucks definitely just have food and medical supplies… as seen when Israeli vigilantes stopped trucks and ripped up the contents.

Millions of aid funds - intended for civilian purpose - were misused to build rockets, tunnels, and other nonsense. The crimes committed on October 7th like raping women, killing children, or kidnapping a baby, was Humus has been doing for years. Secondly. Israel behaved more humanely in this conflict than any other conceivable party in any imaginable conflict. It allowed Palestinians to work in Israel, receive medical care or even migrate into their country. During war, they warn civilians where their military is operating. They admit collateral damage and apologize for it. They saved Sinwar’s life giving him a lethal brain surgery. They treated the daughter of Haniyyas daughter for her complex disease in Israel. While Humus was building rockets and tunnels with all the foreign aid, Israel supplied their civilians with free water and electricity. The situation is clear. In no other conflict the responsibility for the suffering has been so one sided and clear - in no other conflict have the perpetrators been held accountable so weakly. People with voice and power who claim to reject war have the duty to unequivocally name the culprit of this war and do everything in their power to eliminate them.
