Palestinian militant group Hamas released a fresh video purportedly of October 7 attack. The Hamas claimed that the video showed its fighters attacking an Israeli military site. Footage allegedly showed assault on an armoured support site of Kissufim Battalion. Has any of this footage been released in full? Have they verified the sources of the videos were from the Palestinian resistance? Almost all the footage released has been in short clips with most ending with the militants being killed, therefore released by the IDF. The overtaking of most these bases showed they were nearly deserted. Lots of questions should be asked.

I'm seeing the usual range of views but very little facts. I'll attempt to make this as short as possible. There may be a few important historical events to mention: I do not see anyone cite the Munich Massacre, just as one example, where this took place outside the Middle East. Had hostages been used then? And, had there been bloodshed? Yes would be the answer to both. Israel of course carried out reprisal missions as well. What about in Entebbe Uganda where the militants separated Jews from non-Jews and demanded the release of prisoners? There had been a rescue mission whereby the hostages had been freed. In a historical context, these 2 incidents have parallels to exactly what occurred on Saturday the Saturday the 7th, only this event has a much more bloody and gruesome nature to it. For any person who might question me and where I might be on this issue, I'm breaking my silence for the first time in a great many months about this issue more broadly. As far as Hamas goes, no I don't condone kidnapping or mass killing of any kind. However, not that long ago even within Israel, Jewish and non-Jewish Israelis lynched one another - a truly horrifying fact. Netanyahu at the time said that had been unacceptable. The Israeli "tactics" supposedly being used to crush Hamas now include several hundred bombing raids leveling entire buildings and destroying almost all type of infrastructure. All that has been said in response would be that human shields had been used any time a civilian is killed. On top the of raids, a 16-year blockade did exist predating this war. Gaza has a London population density which automatically means instant civilian deaths. The families of the hostages virtually all asked the Israeli government to deal with Hamas later but to first secure their release. The way to secure their release would be to swap prisoners and the Israelis refused to engage in any meaningful dialogue or to consider any prisoner release of any kind - of course you'd say now that Israel has the right to defend itself so Gaza should continue to be bombed until the hostages are released. Israel is a supposed democracy and does not deal with terrorists when the terrorists can only be Muslim. Never once did I hear Timothy McVeigh being called a terrorist, as an example, which clearly his actions were terrorism. Therefore, on the one hand you have a strip without essential supplies being cut off from the rest of the world and civilians have no chance to leave Gaza. And on the other a relentless campaign aimed at only destroying Gaza, rather than dealing with any issues whatsoever. The only words coming out of the Israeli side are just as barbaric as Hamas' words when Israelis say every last Hamas member must be killed - the very definition of a genocidal rage. Why does it take 300,000+ Israelis to crush Hamas? Would that not be the literal definition of excessive use of force? That on top of British and American forces bolstering the Israeli positions without any regard to any Palestinian issue whatsoever. Simply stating you are concerned does not change the manner in which the Israelis conduct themselves - there is no restraint on the Israelis whatsoever, as if bombing Hamas back to the stone age solves any problems. The goal of the Hamas attacks? I'm not sure if only to take hostages in exchange for prisoners. The goal of flattening Gaza? I'm also not sure, if only to make sure to kill Palestinians with impunity and no regard for human life. Does everyone not see that both sides have acted outside of international law?

I'm really impressed by the gun culture of the Palestinians. It seems irrational for a modern state to behave in such a way. At the very least it is inhumane. Too many innocent people are dying. It seems to me that something is missing in Hamas.
