Canola oil is sold as a cooking oil today but in the days before petroleum it was considered an industrial oil rather than a food oil. It's a decent lubricant and has no major issues that would prevent it from being effective to lubricate hinges and other light duty lubrication. I flip my burgers once and once only, then add my sliced raw onions and swiss cheese and cover them until the cheese melts. YUM ! When I do use oil and that is not often it is either peanut oil or olive oil. Very healthy.
@TheCrazyPop5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I never knew that about Canola oil.

You are right about the burgers flip once also don't mash down on them keep them juicy. Tater tots work well also on the Blackstone.

Great video! I'll definitely be trying this. I'm new to Blackstone, and just purchased and assembled a 36" griddle. Question for you: Is it better not to use an aluminum liner for the grease tray? Just curious. Thanks for posting this video and sharing your experience and technique!
@TheCrazyPop Жыл бұрын
Thanks, you are going to be addicted to it before long!! I have the liners, but never use them. I should, it would keep the grease cup cleaner. But I just discard the grease when it is full and place in the dishwasher.

I saw Bobby Flay putting a dimple in the middle of he burger instead of pressing it on the grill. He said that forces the juices out of the meat. Give it a try.

The rule of thumb when you’re making hamburgers is that you allow the hamburger to cook through halfway and then you turn them you don’t turn on while the meat is still red because you’re going to get somebody sick. The chef

Flipping your burgers too much, let em sit until the juices start flowing on the top then flip and alley sit until desired done ness
@TheCrazyPop2 жыл бұрын
Ok
@halloftripplesix2 жыл бұрын
@@TheCrazyPop not trying to be rude at all, I used to flip a lot until I worked at a restaurant and almost got smacked every time😂😂😂 it actually makes a huge difference. I’ve noticed when I keep flipping it takes a lil longer and the burger is usually tougher for some reason. I like my burgers more medium/medium well though. Had one in Vegas at the black tap that was medium rare. Was actually one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life.
