Just FYI, press and hold the scan button for continuous sweep. In continuous sweep you can turn the tuning knob up and down to find signals along the band. Thanks for these videos!!

Yes. I should have shown that in the video and I didn't. Although I don't think the band scope is a feature that many people will use very much.

Yep, the 9100 does this too with the bar graph type of scope... and hold and continuous sweep.

I definitely want the pretty screen of the model which will supersede the ic-7100. I use mine with the vehicle stationary 95% of the time. Too much injector noise with the engine running to make hf fun while mobile. Thanks to the guys with the info on pressing and holding the play button. I didn’t know that one. Cheers

When I first installed HF in my diesel truck, I thought “This will be great. No ignition noise.” Then I found out that the electronically controlled fuel injectors are just as noisy, if not worse. On 20 meters and up, mine’s not horrible on the highway if I’m not hauling something heavy. So I am able to work HF while moving. It’s definitely much quieter when parked and the Noise Blanker definitely makes a noticeable difference.

I believe radios with dual receive like the IC-7610 and Yaesu FT-101MP have stereo headphone outputs. They have menu settings that let you put the main receiver in one ear and the sub-receiver in the other ear.

How can you remote the ham scope to a larger monitor or a PC? Is it even possible?

I'm afraid not with the IC7100. The screen is pretty low resolution by today's standards. So I'm afraid it wouldn't look very good on a larger monitor even if you could do it.
