i was born in '62. I got to see Pink Floyd's Animals tour. Led Zeppelin just before Bonzo passed. AC/DC with Bon Scott. Van Halen open for Black Sabbath. Got to see Randy Rhoads several times. Seeing SRV RR and EVH is an experience I'll never forget. I got to see Ratt a few times. They were a good live band, but Juan's dancing was a bit obnoxious. There were a lot of great bands back then. Concert tickets were under $10.00. It was a much different time. People made real music. I miss it.

The 80s gave us a ton of great frontmen, and yet Stephen Pearcy would easily rank among the Top-5. Not only a great leader on stage, but also an incredibly consistent singer. When he started singing here, swear I thought for a moment he was lip-synching!!!

Wow, Stephen sounds good here. Sad how these vocalists vox get shredded. DeMartini and Lynch definitely were best of that group of signed LA bands. Blotz was such a huge influence! So glad all their albums put his kit way up in the mix :) RIP Robin...once Warren became a guitar god you never got your due.

Wareen is an EXxxCELLENT guitairst and at the time was a big follower of George Lynch. Check out the Lynch vibrato tech around 2:23 (awesome). At the time these guys were climbing the ladder the CRUE was just ahead of them. Then came Poison....hmmm...memories You still had the hard Rockers like Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and Scorps touring. T his was long before the internet and we would spend hours if not the whole night sleeping/standing in line to obtain tickets close to the action.

Well Mötley has done 2½ excellent albums, and then many bad ones. Saw them live 2009 or so, and it was horrible (mainly due Vince's voice I guess.) Ratt on the other hand has done only excellent to very good albums. And judging by the recent live videos, they r still excellent live.

Is that so, so explain why they sing every 80's metal bands songs at their shows, they just use humor because they are all funny guys. But they can play and if you watch them and quit over judging them, like we have alot of new 80's bands to choose from anyway, you would see that.

they sing 80s songs coz they like em lol..but when it comes to their own its all a joke...yeh they can play but when you hear the lyrics you gotta realise that they are a joke...shame coz the guitarist sounds real good...theres no such thing as new 80s....80s has been and gone..you just gotta be influenced by the old stuff n write it new...then you get music thats as good as the 80s but its in the year 2009...
