I own this watch. I have much more expensive pieces and much more inexpensive ones as well. But this Hamilton captivates me in terms of size, wear, and aesthetic. It’s the one I tend to judge all others by and it’s the one I wear most. Ultimate class.

Definitely a keeper in my collection as well! So simple and pure, but with a hidden level of refinement. The slight bevel on the case, the excellent winding feel, the polished hands, the amazing action and precision when setting the time. Considering also how well this wears, I’m never letting this one go!

This remains me of a Raketa watch that I had almost 40 years ago when I was just a kid that I got from my dad back in Poland it was probably like a size of 28mm. Today days with my almost 8" wrist it would hard to put anything less than 39mm but I still like this Hamilton, no b.s. just time teller. With crown guard, it would be a perfect zombie apocalypse fighting watch. Sorry, I had to put a joke here... 🙂

I wanted a small and simple piece to accompany me when I left the UK. I was travelling through some south east Asian countries and I was not comfortable taking my more expensive pieces. I’m so happy that I decided to go for this little guy. it’s light, it’s small and I forgot all about it When it’s on my wrist. I’ve actually had a fair few comments from other people about my watch. I’m so happy I bought it. Thanks for the review!

A classic, no question. I wear mine on the vintage bond NATO. A great tool watch. You can imagine an RAF Vulcan navigator, checking the time with this reissue.

Excellent review, I own a 36.5mm seamaster 300, a 36mm rolex explorer 124270 and this Hamilton has been on the list due to size and hand winding action. Practicality and ease of use aside from the fact its completely unpretentious and under the radar make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to wear something comfortable and reliable on the daily in the field, or in a third world country.

I'd love to have this watch - love the style and the story of the watch. Hopefully one day...
@stanb.526111 ай бұрын
Have it, love it. The shape is kinda clunky, yet sophisticated all the same, and the more modern case back is every bit as elegant as the face. Although it has remained very true to the original, I wish the hands were matte (easier to see) rather than glossy, and the anti reflective mineral crystal (together with a black band) makes this a convincing dress watch (for my tastes). I would probably be hesitant to wear it as an everyday outdoor or sports watch. But I'm nitpicking- no regrets!

Yes I definitely don’t want to beat it up as they aren’t cheap.

I really love the size on this one and I've been debating it for sometime now. I used to have a Khaki Field Mechanical in 38mm, and while I loved the dial and how it matches my Hamilton 46374B, the lug to lug is too long for me. I would love if they reissued the Khaki Field in traditional dimensions.
@LisztGOAT10 ай бұрын
My wrist is ridiculously tiny (around 5'7 inches). I've never worn any watch in my life and I'm looking for my first one. Do you think the khaki field mechanical would fit my wrist? Would the pilot pioneer be a better choice?
@yiruiyan15148 ай бұрын
@@LisztGOATTry both on if you could, the pilot would fit better for smaller wrist tho, the L2L of the field is too long IMO.

It's a great movement, I've been using it for 3 years. I've never had any problems. I do outdoor sports and crossbike and it is still as new and solid as the first day. I recommend it to everyone. ❤❤❤

I have it for more than a Year now any it's a keeper. very rare in it's interpretation and fit and finishes are great. also, the operation feedback is really nice. such a beautiful piece of jewelry. size is just perfect, it wears bigger than it suppose to be at 36mm. really superbe! aaaah, and the movement is extremly accurate in my unit

Bought and sold it twice and I’m sure I’ll buy it again lol, I don’t know what’s wrong with me either, one issue I think the movement will be a mare to service and although yes it’s manual wind extending the power reserve to beat rate was always a error by swatch group as regards how these movements will last long term

Hi, I would like to buy it, but the mineral glass is holding me back... I'm asking for some opinions from those who have had it for a while since I only have watches with Hesalite or sapphire... does it scratch as easily as they say? Thanks!
@glenh49719 ай бұрын
For me, it isn't about this watch. Its about the watch style. I have several old Citizen Homer watches from the 70s that look the same as this. One is 34 mm. The other is a 36 mm. Both have hand wind Homer movements with basic silver in color dials with raised indices. I bought them on Ebay for 40 dollars each. I love both of these watches. Times have changed and people no longer like this style of watch. They bring back memories for me.
