maybe a lil late but thanks a lot for this tutorial, really a big step up from just a texture on a brush. can you do a tutorial with a door model and door handle animations playing, instead of just a brush with a texture?

having issues. when i try to look at the button animations, it doesnt go to depressed it goes to release_idle, and i go to outputs for button_01 and there is no option to set animation for anything anywhere.

Could you please do a custom soundscape tutorial for garry’s mod, specifically the 64 bit version. There is a hammer plus plus update for it

could you use this for a secret door/room? Like when the button is pressed, a wall disappears or appears, how would you do this? Cool vid!

I think you can do it with wall toggle or door

How to open properties
@codyhubert61782 жыл бұрын
Alt+Enter opens properties for any entity. Control+T does the same thing but if it's a brush, it will turn it into a func_detail. This means any world entity that seals the map you hit Control+T on will become a detail brush and no longer be considered by BSP when compiling. This causes leaks and ruins the other compiler processes as well and makes the map unusable.

hey how'd you do that click and drag copy paste stuff so quickly? i keep having to fuck around with paste special for that since regular paste either spawns what im copying way too high up or way too low or just not where i want it at all

Hold shift and click+drag the item you're trying to copy. It will pull a new copy out of it. It will line up with the two axis corresponding to the view you did it in.
