Dracula A.D. 1972 is one of my favorite movies of all time. And you explained why so well: it’s a Scooby Doo Hammer Dracula with Cushing, Lee an X rating and Caroline Munro as Daphne. If watch with that in mind, it is kind of a masterpiece. 72/10 for me. I have a gigantic Dracula 73 French bus stop poster. Your reviews are incredible. Thank you.

@@LOOKLOOKLOOKAGAIN Neame uses every inch of the screen, love his early work, Colditz, Secret Army (either of which I'd enjoy your appraisal of btw), thankyou for showing AD72 some love tho, it's nostalgia on a stick, even the truly terrible bits manage to lap themselves, definitely one I keep going back to

Bravo Crabapple can’t thank you enough again for the info and images well done again Sir 👏. Yes lDracula A.D one of my favs and also also Demons of the mind it’s like The Final Programme you either dig it or you hate it. I watched Straight On Till Morning just after Christmas and also loved it and the imaginary of the city scapes very futuristic clockwork orange. Keep it up mate 👍 loved the about as funny as a fire in a orphanage 😂 nearly chocked on my cuppa 😉

Bless you Mr Reid. Never connected Clockwork Orange to Straight On Till Morning. Thanks for that. Watched it around about Christmas too. Excellent warped little thriller. Though poor Tinkers demise made me sad . Its my last Hammer show next time round so look forward to sharing that soon. All the best for now. Crab

A vintage year for me I love all the films in this batch of Hammer entertainment and it's non PC bliss And the Dog Killing scenes in Straight On Til Morning still give me goosebumps today And 1973 is even better and await your retrospective with vampiric bloodlusting hunger ⚰️ PS it's Inspector Murray played by Michael Coles 😊 And Don Houghton also wrote Inferno and The Mind Of Evil for Jon Pertwee era Doctor Who and two of my favourites ever Who stories

Thanks for your comment Mr B. That dog scene is vile - poor little mite. Amazing film. Inspector Murray - oh my bad- sorry bout that. Inferno is my favourite Dr Who along with Talons of Weng Chiang - as thats about as close to 'teatime' hammer you can get. I hope you enjoyed my review and will tune in to the last programme. Covering hammer from 1955-1976 is epic but i have enjoyed nearly all of it - labour intensive though but I as you have learned lots. All the best for now Crab :)

Thank you so much. A holmes hammer - how wonderful . Reackon he would of really pushed the x certificate. I guess modern Hammer is under hiatus again - they so need to get shout factory to release their back catalogue in the uk- current releases are pale in comparison. Perhaps Look...look and look again and the subscribers could set up a new Hammer studio. We would have fun and wouldnt need much research. Lets start with Vlad ..... :)

@@LOOKLOOKLOOKAGAIN most of the Back catalogue deserve two disc editions that's a fact and a Crab Apple Productions and Hammer Films co produced Captain Kronos revival would be a must for me 😊

@@garybryant1501 hahaha - love it. They could use my review as an extra i guess. Captain Kronos is smashing - it had so much to offer and mileage but, alas, the funds ran out. That could be a revisit though today Captain Kate - Vampire Huntress wouldnt be the same and go the same way as Dr Woke , apologies, Dr Who - flatline. So sad.

Another winner Mr.Apple ..but sadly the more interesting Hammer became the less interested I became. I did watch Demons many years back and felt kind of let down by it… But having watched this instalment I might give it another go again.. I won't bother with straight on till morning as I just know it's not for me and I've always felt that way about it. My favourite film this instalment is vampire circus… It always had that extra air of creeping us to it for some reason… Possibly for its themes of the corruption of youth and using the circus as a means to get out the young...kind of reminds me of a certain DJ and huge circus-like entertainments corporation he worked for. Now then now then. As for Dracula 72 don't even get me started...love that crazy film and agree about the pre title struggle between Lee and Cusing ...I'd even say it might be the franchise's finest moment. As I also live around the corner from where the title sequence turns off from the west way… So I feel a part in a small way of the hammer legend. We'll have to catch up with you about the Rue morgue film I watched over Christmas… It's practically a sequel to the Herbert Lom Phantom of the Opera...and I loved it. Happy New Year Mr crabapple and thanks for an amazing episode.

Mr Jacques - thank you so much for your comment and your stance on 1972. Demons is definitely worth a revisit - it kind of draws you in. Just focus on Yvonne Mitchells performance and Shane Briant - they are superb. Your comparison to Vampire Circus to real life made me chuckle - rattle, rattle. The thing I admire is just how pulpy and comic strip Hammer had become by now - kind of pop art for the glam age. I enjoyed Satanic Rites a little more I must admit. Such a shame the studio didnt continue but the landscape changed, cinematically, so much. At least there was the tele series which were mini-movies in there own right. Any way stay tuned . All the best my friend and a belated happy 2022. Crab :)

Another brilliant video. Really enjoy the occasional f-bomb, and your apparent dislike of anything Woke only makes the channel even more endearing. I sometimes feel I’m the only person who loves AD1972 and Satanic Rites, so it’s good to know I’m not. I went to finish watching Part 2 of your Amicus video but it looks like it’s been removed due to copyright issues? I hope not as it I was really enjoying it, and it looked like you’d poured a lot of love into it. Hope to see some Ghost Story for Christmas critiques. Good luck with the great channel.

Thank you so much. I review as it is and if it requires explicit language then it does, a trifle coarse but gets the point across. Unfortunately my 2nd Amicus doc is currently blocked due to copyright for the film flesh and fantasy , all the other is fine - have appealed so await the decision. If upheld will remove the review entirely - sad really as it is a lesser known film being exposed to subscribers and viewers who may buy it so it's their loss. Its a beautiful film and fits in so well but there we are as the saying goes 'there's always one' . I feel sorry for viewers and subscribers however there's plenty more to keep you occupied on here. Will keep you posted. Best crab 🦀

@@LOOKLOOKLOOKAGAIN yeah you’d think companies would be happy for the exposure of lesser-known films that are maybe available for purchase. I’ve had copyright issues in the past for publishing original music on here, which I’ve also made available on Apple Music and Spotify etc. So, strikes against me for using my own music haha I’ve never appealed. I should have.
