I must've picked up this kit 3 or 4 times while at Lowes trying to justify the $45 price tag. I agree on the bit selection, I think Dewalt had a load of bits laying around and just threw them in this kit to make it look full, honestly they'd sell more of these as an empty case for around $14 and it would be more useful.

I have the craftsman version. One plus is that I can connect it to the bottom of a versastack bag and take it into the job. Makes it very handy. I do agree that it should be more of a full fledged TStak and a little more robust

I think you can rearrage the layout of these cases with the differents holders and mini cases(they are removable) between each others.

I agree with your assessment. I have the red craftsman version that was available at lowes in the states. My other gripe, is you cannot open the full-size bit box without inadvertently unlocking the half or quarter size bit boxes that are locked on top of the full-size bit box. In other words, I don't like how the closed latches of the full-size bit box lock the other bit boxes down.

It can, I have the same kit and I put 8 rows (all of the small bits) on the lid and it provides tons of room!

I can't believe that you said word I did after receiving this. Only one word I used different was EXTREMELY disappointed, these are the things that sometimes turn you off completely from a brand. Dewalt... disappointed for the first time

They could make it pefect but they spend millions on dumbing it down so they can make a 2.0 and so on

The silver magnetic piece that has a number 20 torqx bit in it? Can you change the bit and how? I have been trying to get the bit out, but I don't want to break it.

Totally agree about the contents etc however I got this set just for the t stack comparable box .. I have my go to bits in the box just swapped it out .. I like the size .. I work on site not workshop so stops me taking loads unwanted weight good review tho 👍🏻 ps I’m in uk

The only time I use those short bits are with the locking bit holder. It keeps the bits from getting stuck in the screw heads.

I prefer the Dewalt Tough Grip or MaxFit bits, over the Flex Torque bits. They don't last as long as the others.

I love the small 1” bits, I use them in the Milwaukee locking bit holder, the magnetic part is what I love the most!

Can you please give the actual dimensions of the case please? I'm looking at a similar length tough case in the UK which from photos is wider than the tough case that was your "go to case" . I want to fit this in a "Tough System 2" box which I think you one will fit but the wider one (that you would like) probably will not. Perhaps that's why they made in narrower, to fit the tough system 2 boxes? Thanks

DeWALT is like a Camera company. Smart Marketing. if they give you the perfect camera you won't buy any of their other cameras. If DeWALT came out with a 10in dbl bevel 20v Sliding Miter Saw nobody would buy their other Saws. I have this same Bit case and I am all Tough System. so this bit case goes inside one of my larger cases. It's like whoever is running DeWALT marketing is trying really hard to kill the DeWALT brand. However I will never support China/Milwaukee.

Europe got the one you’ve always wanted they got the same case but it is bigger and is the size of a tstak lid you could get it shipped to Canada

I carry that adapter in my back pocket everyday except weekends with a Phillips tip. The bit comes out every now and then, maybe like 3 times a week with very heavy use. I wanted to want that big kit but i passed.

That’s been a common question. This kit doesn’t have a model number on it. So it makes it very hard to find. Home Depot randomly sells them some times. Wish I could help more

Try a wera adaptor if you don't like 1 inch bits. It's almost all I use now.

I normally don't comment on things like this, but who the F needs an impact ready drill bit? I install wood stoves and pellet stoves for a living, and have never once had a need for an impact driver with a drill bit.

I would agree with you. I drive thousands of screws with standard bits. And I have maybe broke one in 20 years. I love my impact drill but the bits are not worth it for me.

Drilling into thick steel with impact drill bits is the absolute way to go.. it will NEVER break your wrist when it catches and is the only way to go imo

please god someone answer my question. can you stack on top of the toughcase. i see i connects to t stack. im owndering can i be inbetween two boxes or dose it have to be on top?

it dose appear to have bigger black side latches... it could potentially have a tstack top box sit on top of it. i would just like to know as there is also the tstak caddy available so..

It only stacks on the t stak boxes. It can go on top or in the middle of a stack. It won’t fit on the tough system.

@@hammerandhome i thank you! that kinda what i suspected. ordered one thx again. also looking into the dewalt tstak caddy. it looks pretty handy and can stack on top of or below stuff. caddy with this tough gear case as a makeshift lid sitting on a rolling big box with drawers is what im thinking. again thank you for the answer couldnt seem to get it anywhere
