I can not express how good of a move Chalobah would be for us, right now. He is super diverse. He can literally play CB, RB, and DM to a good level. I’m watching his highlights and in one of his clips for England U-21 he’s wearing 8, meaning he’s being played at a high level in CM, winning the ball high up in midfield. And we know he can play CB and right back. He’s got tonnes and tonnes to his game that he hasn’t been showing in a Chelsea shirt. He could be the best signing of the window. A tragic example of how ‘your own’ can be taken for granted through gluttony.

Walker-Peter is a no-brainer. Homegrown, versatile, good age and suited to the formation Loppy will want to use. Him and Coufal would be great options at RB. Philigene has a bit of something about him and it’s the one area of the team we can take more punts on as we already have 3/4 established starters here. For the right money, why not? Mikautadze, looks a good player but I don’t think he’s the right forward for Loppy. I can’t see him being physically dominant enough in a crowded box with the fullbacks whipping crosses into the box. Hence why J-Lo had the physically imposing options at Sevilla and was after the Atletico Madrid striker. O’Brien looks like another Dinos. We don’t need another.

Agree with all bar O’Brien but that’s purely due to not having seen him play, I have no opinion on him really but seems expensive

@@HammersChat From what I’ve seen of O’Brien he’s fairly similar to Dinos. For every 2-3 good games he has, he’ll have a game where he’ll switch off. Although you can argue he’s still relatively young for a defender, as most don’t reach their peak until they’re over 27. I guess it depends on Lopetgui’s plans. If he sees O’Brien more of a back-up, I can see the attraction. As a starter though I’m not so sure. But to be fair to Lopetgui he built a good defence at Sevilla and made Wolves really solid with the Dawson and Kilman partnership so if he disagrees with me and believes O’Brien will work well here then I’ll trust his judgement. 👍🏻⚒️

Time to move on from Kilman. Go get Chalobah instead. Chelsea seemingly want to move on. He doesn't need to move far in London. I'm not spending £40m on Kilman. Mikautadze is basically hot topic at the moment and likely being linked to every club under the sun. I'd go and get Konrad Laimer from Bayern to play alongside Alvarez.

Trevor Chalobah would be the best signing we could make ,, simply because I believe in listening to supporters , they know their team and players... Chelsea supports only sing Chalobah's praises..Oppossed to that is Wolves supporters who have quite a low opinion of Max Kilman and don't rate him very much

Couldn't care less what Lopetegui wants, for what Wolves want for the overrated average Kilman we could get two great centre backs, Kilman is not worth wasting most of our budget on .... he is average at best and not worth the pursuit

@MarkChippers2193 the point being is Wolves have turned down 35 million and are demanding 45 million ...for a defender who isn't that good ... Lopetegui is insisting to the board that we pay whatever it takes to get Kilman , we could get two great centre backs for 45 million ....so two great centre backs for 45 million or one pretty average centre back for 45 million ? We apparently have limited funds , Kilman is not worth blowing most of our budget

@@elysium1977 Lopetgui is responsible for how the 1st team gets on. Perhaps he’s looked at the fact the team scored 60 league goals for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons and then looked at the defence which was the 4th worst in the whole league and came to the conclusion that improving the defence is the difference between finishing in the European places or dropping too many points like we did last season. And this is the same Kilman who was part of the Wolves team under the same Head Coach who picked up quite a few clean sheets at home. Remember, manager’s tenures are determined on the success of their signings. If Kilman turns out to be a flop, then he will rightfully be questioned on it, or could even lose his job. But equally if he genuinely believes this player could be the difference then we have to back him to give us the best chance of succeeding. Lopetgui may be many things, but he’s not stupid. He knows the situation. He has a 2 year contract and must finish in a European place in at least 1 of those 2 years to get an extension. He will take this very seriously. All we can do is wait and see. You may be right, you may be wrong. But like any manager he needs to be given the backing needed to achieve success. If Lopetgui takes a bigger gamble on a cheap punt like Perez for example, he doesn’t do well and the defence is no better than last season, then his neck will be on the block. Established Premier League players cost money. And Kilman isn’t just an established player, he’s a captain too. And seeing the lack of character the squad had last season during the countless tonkings we had, Loppy may think this is just as valuable.

As Geo said, if you have a deep youth system and you sell them you basically have zero PSR issues. The unfairness is that 6-7 clubs had the $ to build a huge youth network prior to PSR. Eventually, it will become a bit more level for those who invest in their academies.
