Hopefully it was an easier hike out! So good to see folks doing proper wild camping up here, with a genuine “leave no trace” ethos.

Thanks again taking the time to put together another great video. Our paths may have crossed last weekend, as I was heading up to Durness and then back down to the Galloway Forrest and Raiders road, where I spend the night in a lovey quiet spot with only nature around me. Inspired by a previous video. 👍
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
Nice one Stuart. I can imagine it was some drive up to Durness and back!!! Sounds like you found a good spot in Galloway, such a great place with few people around 👍.

Well, we didn’t see you, we too made the most of the “hot” weather! Avoided most of the wild fires in the highlands. Great video. What perfect weather to be out and about testing new kit and good to see you finally caught a fish lol. Editing is great! Look forward to the next instalment. Yes! More of Triss’s beer reviews, we had a giggle. PS ....... LMFAO called and they want their sunglasses back 😄

😂😂 Cheers! Yeah it was great weather, warm but without the dreaded midge to ruin things! It was a close contest as to who was more surprised......me or the fish LOL.

Cheers Colin! I've just had a look at Tentsmuir forest on Google earth, it does look good, similar to singing sands by the looks of it. I'll have to check it out 👍

@@Adventure-Outdoors great stuff it's a cracking area we camped there last September bike packing, if you arrive late you can still get through barrier it costs £2 and once in there is toilets and water and the parking is free sure you can stay as long as you like enjoy 👍
Wonderful. You make it look very easy! Is that a non-stick Trangia 25 you’re using for cooking pots?
@Adventure-Outdoors4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mark! Yes they are the Trangia 25 pots, I can recommend them if you are thinking of buying them, they're excellent quality.

I really enjoyed this video mates, loved the music and scenery's! Beer reviews... i do alot of them in a app, cool to do it in outdoorvideos, loved that too! Gather water in your tarp is a smart survival bit of art. Are You heading for Scandinavia again or do You have other plans for overlanding? Happy trailing! 😁💪🏻
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mattias! We’re going to make beer reviews a regular feature 😀. We’ll be off to Spain again in a few weeks, back to explore the Pyrenees. Hopefully we will get to Scandinavia before the autumn, I’m thinking Finland at the moment but it depends how much time we have 👍.

Am.bushcraft_n_hunting cheers Andrew! I bought the spit from the bushcraft store - www.thebushcraftstore.co.uk/folding-firebox-roasting-spit-coffey-rotisserie-41481-p.asp they seem to be out of stock at the moment though.

Great video realy appreciate you taking the bother to film and share it with us. You dropped lucky with the weather. Did you take a back up stove in case of wet weather and wet wood?
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
Cheers Graham 👍, yeah I had a Trangia alcohol stove and some fuel just in case.

What a beautiful place to be! I like the hiding in the woods until the people all bugger off. I can relate to that. Is it not possible to drive closer to the beach?
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a great place! There is a road that runs up past the beach but it's private, although there was a Landrover parked at the entrance to the beach, not sure if it belonged to the owner of the estate or if you can obtain permission to use the road?

I like the look of that lamb you cooked, clever little rotisserie, - how long did that take to cook? Impressive fishing skills too, did you bring your own bait, or dig it? Thanks for sharing these weekends away 😎
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, the lamb took around 40 minutes I reckon. I used a mackerel spinner, I didn't expect to catch sea trout but I guess I got lucky. 👍 🎣
@discovering_adventures5 жыл бұрын
@@Adventure-Outdoors - you done well - I was certain the fish weren't going to bite. I hope that lamb tasted as good as it looked? Are you going to the Overland show at the weekend?
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
@@discovering_adventures Nah I keep meaning to get to one of the shows but something always gets in the way, I haven't been since 2015. Are you going? I was looking at going to the one in September but I think we might be away for that one as well. 🙁
@discovering_adventures5 жыл бұрын
Europe Overland and Outdoors - quite often the way. I'm going up for just the day tomorrow - even though it's a 3 1/2 hour trip each way. Taking my wife to hopefully tempt her in the idea of coming on future overland trips with me. Haven't been for two years so looking forward to it, just hoping that it doesn't become too big and too commercialised
@Adventure-Outdoors5 жыл бұрын
Mark Green 👍 Should be a good day out. Hopefully you can get your wife interested, my guess is lots of expensive and ultra comfortable camping equipment might do it!
