Nice vid mate, I agree, I think you find with a lot of hobbies you get a lot of gear snobs, and hobby snobs, ''if you're not using this and not doing it like this then you're doing it wrong'' bushcraft and fieldcraft is very varied and personal, depending on the person and climate, part of the world they're in, and the many different reasons for going out in the first place, if you're warm , dry, fed and comfy, and enjoying yourself, you're doing it right. Happy trails.I even felt my vids aren't very good, but I am out enjoying myself and sharing what I do, my way.

About the professional wild campers, I can reassure you there is no such thing. But Im sure you all know about the midge hell there, even when sensible precautions are taken. I'm from the central Highlands and have never found the midges to be a big deal here- north of Aviemore area. But the West coast is really mental for them in season.Has anyone any experience of the practicality of this tent when dealing with the wee b******s? I avoid real tents if I can especially in summer but haven't been able to enjoy doing that in the Western Highlands in midge season so Im hoping this mesh tent will be a game changer. Cheers
