I really hope b58 swaps start becoming the norm. e46's and e36's have really needed a good engine swap for a while. yes there's been tons of engine swaps done on them but fuck ls and k swaps in any bmw from e46 backwards apart from a k swapped e30 imo they all suit 6 cylinder swaps and unless you wanna spend stupid money on a s54 or jz there aren't many options other than turbo the original m50/52 lumps which is cool in itself but they're old engines and so inefficient. B58 swap the world!

The b58 will never be a normal swap. It’s strictly a shop car build. Parts are expensive and custom… a more ideal swap would the n54/n55/n52 swap You can now swap a N engine into a e46 using 98% factory bmw parts. just like the one I have on my page. ✨

@TecKnowTech I'm still dealing with ptsd over my e91 335i's constant misfire codes and niggles that cost so much to rectify, I guess I had bad luck and had to replace literally every problem item from the wastewater rattle the second I turned the boost up, to going China turbos then the hpfp shitting itself and finally the ecu decided to brick one day as apparently it got water ingress from some leaves blocking a drain hole 😢 won't ever be going back to any bmw engine code starting with N, I know the na 3.0 one is strong same as the n54 but I'm not messing with an engine swap then a custom turbo kit on top I'd rather just swap a factory 3.0t like a b58 that has ridiculous potential compared to the n55 which is the best of the bunch you mentioned. even seen the video on this channel where some guy had a b58 e46 coupe on stock ecu! so some off the shelf engine/gearbox mounts are realistically all that's holding this idea up from being made more viable, yes there's alot more into a swap but if you got the engine/gearbox in and potentially talking to the factory ecu that's a big chunk of the battle imo.

Cool swap. But that car is deffinitely more than 1250kg, the csl was 1385kg. It's Probably around 1450-1550kg
