I’m very interested In the emi filter. Does the EMI filter stop or reduce noise when you plug extra stuff into your outlets? Never heard anything about them before. I’ve got a hifi system in my shed for music but sometimes when I charge my phone or any device it goes off tap with static and noise. Doesn’t always do it but it’s annoying when it does. Will the EMI filter do some good at reducing static noise?

I didn’t realize that a base station still needs a power supply? That’s interesting. I’m not a ham but I always assumed a Base Station had that internally, a small mobile would need a power supply and HT is battery powered.

Some have built-in power supplies, mainly bigger radios with 200W

Well, fortunately I don't have much noise in my grid, but I use it "justin case" lol. I am sure if the noise was there, this could block it. :)
