This is something that hugely detracts from fitness as a whole, particularly on social media. To add credibility to your claims, you need to try and tear down what others say, regardless of whether it's right or wrong. And then you have people like Hamza who take it to the next level, speaking and acting as if they're the prophet of fitness. They mischaracterize claims to validate their messages. People in the fitness industry (Greg included) need to ground themselves in what they actually know. The "I'm so smart, here is a list of my certs and credentials, believe me" attitude really takes away from the validity of their message. Many of these people, myself and Greg included, are dumber than they think.

So Hamza knows more than you, but he's been lifting for 8 years. On the other hand, your first bodybuilding meet was nearly 30 years ago. I've never heard of him ever competing, I've never seen a workout program for him, a supplement brand by him, and quite frankly, this is my first time seeing him on screen, whereas you are one of the biggest influencers in not just the bodybuilding community, but the online fitness community in general. I trust you as much as legends like Jay Cutler and C Bum. Runners use your advice, Team athletes use your advice, powerlifters use your advice, and of course bodybuilders. I've used your advice for 8 months now, and I've lost fat, gotten stronger, and gotten more muscular. So in the end, I don't care what Hamza says. @@leobowen-elliott9439 I'm not saying that Hamza is incorrect in his points, but his bashing of other influencers is. Not that it's uncommon. I am and always will be immensely grateful to Hamza as he is the reason I turned my life around and was my introduction to self improvement. Hamza used to always give me the kind of 'Older helpful brother who will pick you up and push you forward' vibe but since around the late summer period of last year I noticed a bit of a change when watching his videos. I have incredible respect for anyone who puts the hard work (especially when they don't feel like it) in and build an impressive physique and wealth but I think that his ego has grown along with him. Now like I said, I still have huge respect for him but putting other people down for no particular reason seems kind of pointless. There are other ways to raise people up than by putting others down. I'll probably be called a Jeffery for this but who cares, I think it needed to be said. But that's just my opinion.

He is a great guy and really wants to help young guys but his ego is ruining him imo. It seems to me that his followers are making a cult around him and praising him like a god and he likes it. He does mean it well probably but everone sometimes says something that's not really true without even thinking about it. He should be careful about this tho because when I saw the clips from his videos, he has become even more radical and that's quite alarming. Edit: Hamza is being weird.. Greg is much more experienced and knows much more about this topic and I hope Hamza and his followers will realise it..

His cult like idea is so stupid and it’s depressing seeing young minds praising him like a God

Hamza was useful at first but he later brought my mental state to a dark place. Whenever I wanted to do something pleasurable in the slightest I could hear his voice calling me all kinds of insults almost as if he were watching my every move. It took me a while to learn to live my life in the way I wanted to and not Hamza’s view of how I should live.

@Amir Awad well my father had passed, and I wanted to improve myself. Only place i could go was youtube or a random old guy I didn't relate to or feel comfortable talking to. You take your pick.

I just watched his video about increasing testosterone today and one of his points was going outside (getting sunlight). I was already planning to go outside and instead it just made me think about testosterone and feel obsessed over it. I mean a better reason to go outside is just doing things instead of obsessing over vitamin D. Hamza says he spends his entire life on self improvement. I don't see that as fulfilling or realistic. He has addressed this by saying "If you don't want to go all the way, continuously improving, even if you're only gaming for 1 hour or eating 1 cheat meal - you're mentally the same as a fat lazy guy playing video games." But there is an objective difference. The gamer is unhealthy and wasting his time. Someone gaming 1 hour a day or having 1 cheat meal a week is doing fine. If they go to a party now and then, if it's enjoyable, good for them. His other points on increasing testosterone were nose breathing and semen retention. The second one was debunked by Sean Nalewanyj, and while the first seems good to me, Hamza won't provide data backing any of it up. In general I don't support someone who openly calls his teachings a cult. And there is his financial motive to get people buying his "Adonis" school.

Honestly Greg's videos helped me a lot. Been watching Greg for a while now, and I noticed more change in my physique then ever before in my life. A lot of what I do now in my fitness journey been influenced by Greg. I thank Greg.

Hamza gives good advice and speak from the heart about issues that no one else will. Sure Greg is right in a lot of this, but it misrepresents the kind of content that Hamza makes

I've been subbed for 3 years. I've seen so many videos from his old place, various vacation spots, to the new house, creation of the term maingain/1st and 2nd cook books, seeing his neighbours complain for no reason, hearing The Rock sound bytes, seeing all the animals in the background all the way to videos such as this with so many products!!! I can say coach has been consistent in his messaging and was summed up in his response here.
