The word used in the verse literally means « a level of physical contact » . So the word can mean a little touch . in that case because of the hadith explanation it is more clear what js the level of contact we can use, also we take islam in it entirety so we can know how to deal with our wives. But let not forget that verse talks about a rebellious wife not any wife. Westerns tend to have mercy to the wrongdoers, that why they have playstation 5 in their prisons for criminals.
