Hamza, I'm a big fan, so I say this as constructive advice. 1) a little more patience pls, you do need to bring the hammer sometimes, but before you swing the hammer wait to hear the arguement. 2) when you read a book and it makes claims, before you repeat the claims make sure you have references to back up the claims. Like I say, I love your general approach, just some small tweaks to make it more effective

For people saying that the brothers are arguing amongst each other: this is steel manning the arguments. If we provide a weak argument, it is necessary for it to be critiqued and made stronger, or find a new argument. There are people far more intelligent than the guests that come on who will chew your ideas if there are any weaknesses. This is a Hegelian dialectic approach of thesis-antithesis-synthesis in essay writing. It ensures that your argument is robust. Now Hamza knows that when he is writing his book, he will need to reconcile the historical critic DH brought up.

I'm not sure what the point of having a panel is if you don't let them talk to the guests. Everyone has a different way of approaching things and handling questions from guests. The problem is that Hamza is cut throat to the point and wants yes or no answers but the streams are like 4+ hours long so there's enough time to have an actual dialogue. I would encourage more patience from Hamza. I love him for the sake of Allah but he needs to seriously take a back seat sometimes.

Brother Hamza needs to let some of the panelists talk with the people before he dismisses them. It's good for the viewers to see how ridiculous the arguments are. Sometimes brother Hamza already knows from experience where arguments go but shouldn't dismiss the people because new viewers might not know the argument. Plus it's entertaining watching christians run around in circles 🤣🤣🤣 Even with Sha, you said the "and what" after you kicked him, which you should have said before kicking. You have to understand some people either don't understand the English language and some CAN'T understand your accent, humour and "slang" 🤣🤣 Also the end part lost most of it's effect with brother Hamza sniggering and laughing and taking the pi**. He could have had 10 times the effect by being decent like he normally is

I think with Jeremy brother Ijaj was speaking about a thought experiment. He was not necessarily suggesting that evolution is true. But brother Daniel got it more accurate because the thought experiment doesn't apply to Jeremy as he already puts science in skepticism. So brother Ijaj's question was redundant or actually already answered.

Jazākallāhu Khayran for understanding. I'm not suggesting any particular evolutionary model is true. Rather the non-Muslim already had a belief he accepted (evolution) and was appealing to the strength of that belief as a reason to dismiss Islām. All I did was mention (a known but somewhat disliked argument used by some) to compare & contrast my interlocutor's presuppositions. discussion between DH and hamza: I agree with the 4 methods approach for someone who accepts hadith / historical sources as a reliable source of history, this reconciles DH's objection, which is valid in that atheists wouldn't accept the approach if they don't accept the supporting evidence of the answers. i.e. He was known to be truthful, refutes he wasn't a liar (pbuh) ONLY if they accept the hadith / historical sources that say he was truthful, didn't have the capacity, etc. If they don't, then they have no reason to accept.

1:15:36 so here the conversion turned to the permissibility of coersive sex with a concubine from an Islamic perspective. Daniel argued that it was permissible in Islam and gave his reasons, however failed to site any sources from our scripture. There were certain well known people in the chat who then began to accuse Daniel of being an 'Islamophobe's dream' but also failed to provide any sources for their position, and resorted to slander and backbiting. This is not befitting by either side at getting to the Truth. So I did some rummaging around and Brother Abu Amina Elias (May Allah reward his efforts) has written a fantastic article on how Daniel's position is completely wrong using Quran, Sunnah and statement of the scholars such as ibn Hajjar. Since KZbin forbids posting external links, I advise people to Google the following to get the article: "Sexual consent, marriage, and concubines in Islam by Abu Amina Elias" I recommend everyone read this in order to see the evidences, despite there being no direct codified forbidding of coercive sex with concubines, why such behaviour was not allowed by the Prophet and the Companions, and if it did happen the abuser was punished and emancipation was required. I have also sent this link to Daniel's email before people ask if I've approached Daniel in private. This is for the benefit of the believers and non-believers in order that there is no doubt about the subject. Allah knows best!

I posted this elsewhere brother, I would like to know your response. It would be hard to justify that you need consent from your concubines. Imagine what you are saying: that a man can kill all the men of a woman's family, and that same woman will say "yes" to him. Even if she says "yes", modern people will say it was coercive and blackmail, as the man was a part of an invading army. So it is coercive by definition. The woman could have feasibly feared for her life were she to say "no". Also, it brings into question why people don't inquire into whether male slaves could say "no" to heavily labourious jobs? Obviously I'm not comparing sexual intimacy to labour, but why do people not question the consent of a male slave? Of course, the whole point of slavery is that you cannot say no. Having said that, you cannot physically harm the woman. You cannot injure her. And if she is overly resistant, to the point where you would need to harm her, you must sell or free her. To say you need her consent, is intellectually bankrupt, as which woman would say yes to a man that has invaded her home? And even if she did say yes, from a modern perspective, the sexual act involved coercion and black mail, as the man has the power.

This is what I love about Islam. We are told to be inquisitive and to ponder on such subjects. The brother's demonstrated this very well. While Hamzas 4 claims for Muhammad PBUH is fine, I don't think it worked and mattered to Jeremy. Daniel noticed it and tried to get around it. He brought a good point that one of the claims could be that he was mistaken, but I personally think that the answer falls into the same as the claims of him being deceived. That's my two cents but I still like that interaction nonetheless.

@@Ensenoman8 I didn't get the DH option of being mistaken. How can you mistakenly think you're the Prophet of God and an Angel is talking to you. Either was telling the truth or lying or crazy(deceived is only used by Christians). Unless DH meant mistaken could mean crazy which in any case Hamza had it covered. Then DH said that the historians could have recorded mistakenly. There is mass attestation about Muhammad(saws) claiming to be a prophet, so if you doubt that then you have to reject every historical event.

Thing is Jeremy was being hyper skeptical and I feel like he's the type you need to give time for him to assess the information given to him piece by piece. Daniel tried for the angle and compared it to Karl Marx where he thought he was right but wouldn't go on to see the error of his ways. Daniel wasn't trying to SAY the Prophet PBUH was mistaken but that Jeremy may liken to that idea given what little Jeremy himself knows. It's not an accurate point though and I think despite Jeremy saying he can hold to that claim of being mistaken, I think Jeremy just agreed just for the arguments sake. Daniel later during that same discussion brings up the Islam and the Jewel comparison. Because of how multi-faceted Islam is, Daniel was trying to get across to the others and even the audience that Jeremy needs a different angle and approach to see the beauty of Islam.

Because, David a.s was also a judge, it is very normal that there were many disputes about sheep, because at that ancient time, sheep has been main source of food for almost everyone. Thr Quranic story speaks about the man who had 99 sheep, while the biblical story speaks about someone who has had many sheep.Quranic story speaks about the man wanting to complete 100 sheep in number by getting the one of the other men, but, the Bible story speaks about the rich man not wanting to slaughter and cook one of his sheep for some guest who came to him and slaughtered and cooked the sheep of the poor men.Quranic story speaks about David a.s. making a mistake about judgement in this case and repenting about this, while, the Biblical story speaks about David a.s. doing a mistake in killing one of his generals in a war and taking his wife for himself, read the bible verse below: "..You murdered Uriah the Hittite by letting the Ammonites kill him, so you could take his wife..". Quranic story speaks about the two men sneaking and entering the house of David a.s., while, Biblical story speaks about Nathan telling this story to prophet David. So, these are two different and seperate cases.But, as usual poor Frank he comes again with another "silly argument" as brother Hamza says.

DH right to interject against Ijaz but wrong against Hamza. Evolution is a deductive argument so Hamza was on point by making a deductive argument for Prophethood of M(saws). If DH stated that people can reject historical testimonies ad hoc then we could reject any historical testimony on the same basis. That was not a strong argument by DH.

You know, brother Hamza has a habit of insisting other people have sex on the brain, but it's funny that he's always the one to insist that someone else is watching porn, when no one else on the panel has their mind in the gutter to even insinuate that this person is bringing x or y subject up, because they are hooked on porn. It just gets pathetic hearing Hamza regurgitate the same accusation time and time again when it's clear he's the one who is thinking about sex the most amongst anyone else on the panel, yet if a woman was to ask a question about sex slavery, or about the marriage to Aisha, or the amount of wives he had, we know that Hamza wouldn't dare make such an accusation against a woman. Change your approach when it comes to that akhi, making all sorts of assumptions, because it's getting rediculous. And then for Hamza to go on making fun of the Muslim brother post-shahadah about how he found it funny that, from his perspective, he only wanted to embrace Islam upon hearing the answer about sex slaves and whatnot. Just absolutely pathetic showing from Hamza. Do better!
