Hi Marko! Is there a plan to release on console? I bought HoM last year on Steam and it didn't like my setup and I ended up having to return it. (Super bummed). Would love to still buy this and support y'all, but on my PS5 :P
@mp427052 жыл бұрын
@@joemedulla7703 Yep, we've already passed cert for most of the relevant consoles, so you should be able to play it on release for sure. I am a bit sad to hear it didn't like your PC, but if the issue was the game itself (like a grey screen or crashes) and not something like the min spec, you should feel free to poke us on our discord or on the steam forums. Even tho there's so few of us, we try to help everyone as much as we humanly can. Thanks for the interest!

@@mp42705 I'm beyond impressed by such a speedy reply to my comment! Kudos! Unfortunately I do believe it -was- the title itself that didn't like my machine as I got several other titles (some with more demands than HoM) at the same time and they worked without a hitch. I'm glad to hear it'll hit console though and will keep an eye out for it so I can grab it up on release day! Thanks again and have an awesome day!
@mp427052 жыл бұрын
@@joemedulla7703 Could have been the same issue that some of our other players had, where switching from the default Vulkan renderer to DX11 might have solved the issue. At this point, who knows, and i hope you'll enjoy the game when you get it on the PS. :)

Once upon a time a great dragon threatened France. Not the Tarrasque. The Guivre. She emerged from a river to destroy a city, saw a nude youth bathing nearby, blushed (somehow through her scales), dove into the river until only her eyes were above it, then when she saw that he saw her, dove completely into the water and disappeared forever. So nudity is a viable medieval strategy. Also, ghosts were supposed to flee whenever they saw someone naked for hundreds of years in Northern European traditions.

Wait...you choose a dialogue/story option with a random likelihood (i.e. 75% success), and instead of just rolling the die they build a card deck with the same probabilities, then have you draw a card from the deck...which is the same thing as clicking the option you just clicked? Why? It's so redundant, and it adds nothing to the mechanics of the game.
@cautemoc46242 жыл бұрын
They can add things like critical failure and great success cards, or add cards that do other effects that just fail/succeed. It does add more flexibility and other games have done the same thing.
@Yushimasu12 жыл бұрын
I guess they want the players to feel that they made that choice themselves. Rather than getting f**ked over by the dice.
@Avenus1122 жыл бұрын
Card games are very popular lately. I'm no fan myself.
@alonelychocolatebar19542 жыл бұрын
To be fair, as others have joked about, with the whole XCOM percentile thing. Algorithms sometimes get it wrong, and you can have a 96% chance of hitting a target, and miss them every single time you shoot for it. Maybe that's why they avoided the actual game making those choices, and allow you to. Not to mention, the whole idea of the mystical and fantasy setting that is the whole setting for King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, and such, tarot cards fit a decent bit into the theme, and maybe that's the idea of the card choices. Instead of actual tarot cards unveiling your choices, it's just a random deck you pick from, for aesthetic reasons.
@ColinTimmins2 жыл бұрын
@@Yushimasu1 Exactly as I thought as well. I really like the way they did it. Doesn't matter if it makes a difference or not, it makes the player feel more rewarded when they succeed. A lot of slot machines are designed the same way. If you get to pick out of a pile of options to win money, the slots that just tell you what you won it was already determined, but the ones that show what the options were for the ones you did not pick, it did matter what you chose.
