Thanks Dr. Lodha. I nearly lost a finger in a work accident and will have surgery to repair the median nerve. I have about 40% sensation loss in the finger. He spoke about using a tendon from a cadaver to repair it. Some people might not like that, but I'm so all for it, I want to meet the family of said cadaver. I'll have that person inside of me forever! He or she will live on!!

I got this thing 3 weeks ago, and the first couple days I just felt a small numbness in my little finger and ring finger, and the 2nd week they felt swollen and the right side of my palm sometimes burned a bit. I decided to wait it out, and I avoided bending the arm too much or resting it on hard surfaces, and now I have almost recovered.

Do ulnar nerve exercises. Type “ulnar nerve exercises” in KZbin and try them out. Once in the morning and once in the evening for at least 2 weeks or whenever the pain stops

Hi 12 days ago i slammed the soft area between the elbow and funny bone into the corner of a wood frame - after excruciating pain for the first 10min and feeling like I was on the verge of vomiting , the numbness and electricity died down in my arm and it felt somewhat back to normal - I’ve been keeping a log since then of activities that seem to cause pain/discomfort and for the most part I’m able to do everything normally even work out with weights - but I noticed with prolonged guitar playing (having my arm bent for long periods of time) seems to activate a pain in the area of my injury - on the 11th day after my injury I tried to do gentle nerve flossing exercises for the ulnar nerve and noticed that when I went to the “salute position” there was a tightness and I couldn’t reach to my forehead - that very night my elbow area was tender and just laying down brought pain in the area - (it seemed to get worse after the nerve flossing exercises) I was wondering who I should see for this issue - any medical advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

Funny thing, I went to see this guy about 3 years ago and right away he recommended I get surgery after merely one brief consultation and a somewhat inconclusive electro diagnostic test. Needless to say, my arm started feeling better all on its own after some time. I'm so glad i did not follow his advise.

Doc. I had an operation on sarcoma in my forearm, and during operation, the nerve was cut beczuse of spread of the cancer. The pain is not very pleasant at all. The nerve that was cut affects the top of my thumb, pointer finger and middle finger. Is there anything that can be done to lessen this pain? (It's a weird pain, like numb feeling, but also painful at the same ti me- it feels kind of like a burning pain almost)

Hi, I would go and see an orthopedic doctor who specialises in treating this condition such as a hand/shoulder and elbow surgeon. In the meantime you might want to try sleeping with your arm straight. You can purchase a splint or make one yourself using a towel and tape. The longer you leave this condition untreated, the more likely you will suffer permanent nerve damage. I have had surgery on both my arms with good results. You have to catch it early though.

Hi I had my blood drawn and for some reason it was very painful (never like this before) I felt the vein in my hand that runs into my tumb was pulled and immediately I felt half of my hand got numbed. I asked the nurse she said she had used the big needle to draw my blood instead of the small needle. I had no idea 🤷‍♀️ but oh well!! The next day I started feeling tingling from the elbow to my hand and couldn’t even brush my teeth or comb my hair???? I will call the dr. Monday. Anyone with this experience please advise. @@EzzeKez Don't apply pressure on the affected hand's elbow. Like if you're going to bed, turn the other way around where the affected hand is upwards. If the problem is in both hands then put soft pillows under your elbows and lie down straight. Limit phone or laptop usage as much as you can. Avoid holding phone in landscape mode(especially while gaming) with the affected hand (and if both are affected try to keep the phone at a place and then watch something or whatever.
