I make an A-Board sign from scratch. Although I can't work during the lockdown, I can certainly prepare for when I can! The design inside these letters is now my favorite! But I can't use it all the time!!!! Poo.

Hey max, I just started watching your channel. Thanks for putting these together. My wife is a tattooer of almost 20 years and started hand painting/lettering everything for her shop about 5 years ago. The stairs, the church pews, the walls, welcome signs a-frame for the shop as well as our windows. We re still closed in Toronto Canada but she is staying busy painting, it keeps her spirits up and I just shared your videos. They helped me a bunch since I am usually the one cleaning brushes and refilling the coffee cups. Cheers! and Many Thanks!

Dude, that looks sick! I watched your Aloha sign video earlier and went and got some 1shot and a lettering brush (already have the other stuff because I'm an art supply hoarder). I'm excited to to start practicing, but I'm wondering how long do you wait in between colors? Until it's touch dry?
@maxkilbourne31423 жыл бұрын
Yup, touch dry, and then add a hour. (meaning... make sure it is good and dry so if you make any mistakes, they will come off without messing up the under layer.). I usually do a color a day. If I was on a deadline, I would work it sooner. And, thank you! Let me know how your project turns out!

Hi Max, what is the white brush you start using at 3:00? I've just started to follow your tutorials and trying sign painting for the first time so don't know the names of all the tools. I know there's probably plenty of videos of them, but I think you're the one I'd rather listen to. Many thanks.

Not sure when I picked this one up! But I like it. Type this into Amazon and you will find it. They are cheap! And super handy for outlining and scroll work. "Set of 2 size 1-2 the Jenson Swirly Q series for scroll pinstripe and Script lettering".
