Hi Marcus, thanks for your teachings, greatly appreciated. Pretty amazing, effortless, slinging from the inside and this gives incredible ball striking. I observed video of my swing and the club head is slinging in low, curving sharply and deep inside to out, just before impact, due to the pushing of the trail hand palm, which leads to the scoop further forward with higher irons, where it needs to be, to hit ball first. Why does it feel like, yet again, these simple methods of swinging a golf club incredibly well, just seem to elude so many people and golf teachers, is it mass collusion or mass delusion, not decided yet. peace love light 🙂

I need to say a big thank you, Marcus! The circle of speed already has helped me a lot (together with the feeling / drill with the volleyball service from below) to correct my trail hand motion (right hand was always coming over the top, wrong type of rotation of "winning the hand wrestling" and not losing it). Now I need to get practicing by hitting balls, not only doing (full speed) practice shots only (snow on driving range in Austria was against me, indoor golf is not possible all the time). Let's see what the results will be. I will let you know.

@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad It already improved my game for sure and gives me more consistency. However, I need to get the right elbow attached to my body at downswing and pre-impact (it is internally rotated too much and "flies"). I guess a good drill is to keep a glove / headcover under my right armpit throughout the swing. Or do you have another drill I could try? Thanks Marcus!
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad9 ай бұрын
@@wolfgangkehrer618 Wolfgang, Ithink your circle is going in the wrong direction. If I do an over the top move my elbow flies out but if I go the right way that can never happen. I don't think this is an elbow problem, it is a misunderstanding. If you stand really open (more than 45°) and swing to the target this will never happen but if you stan neutral or closed it will happen every time if you swing straight or over the top. Practice the feeling with a really open stance.

Marcus, thanks for the videos. I will be going to an indoor golf range tomorrow and try your methods. It reminds me of playing fastball in my youth. I was a pitcher and the pitching move is the circle of speed! You could do so much with the ball by the way your hands released the ball. Well i have all winter to practice the circle of speed. I assume that ball position and feet setup 3:47 would allow you to cut the ball?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad9 ай бұрын
I think we need to talk underhanded through to make it in golf. The circle can go both ways, overhanded and underhanded. I'm not sure what you mean about cutting the ball, this video is all about pushing forward and out?
@larrym32809 ай бұрын
I mean what would I do if I needed to hit a shot that starts out to the left and comes back right, the opposite of a draw. By the way, I went to the driving range and spent my first hour working on your technique. So far I have noticed that when I really concentrate on the move it works really well. Otherwise I pull everything. My first thought now is to swing down and then through the ball. I am hitting my 7 iron 150 yards but I would like to get that up to 165. I haven't hit a driver yet. By the way, I am 75 and work out 5 days a week in the winter and in the summer, on the days that I don't golf.

@@larrym3280 To change to a fade you need to change timing to a later release and swing path needs to change. I will not do a fade video because it will make it messy for the viewers. I want all videos to work together. You will notice that when you hit your driver your release will need to be very early to get a draw. Keep going. 👍

Hi Marcus. Thank you for motivating me with your speed training. I reached my goal today above 110 mph with my driver . What i can't understand is how i get the smash factor close to 1.5 like the pros. I rarely get my smash factor above 1.45. Is there a correlation between attack angle and smash factor ? I vary from a few degrees down to a few degrees down. Do you have a tip to improve smash factor with the driver ?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad9 ай бұрын
The more we find the absolute best hit in the sweat spot we will get more of the high smash shots we will get. All drills about impact will make you better to find the sweat spot with all clubs. The other thing is that the tour pro's drivers are all hottest possible and tested to be at the limit of what is USGA allows and most drivers in the stores are not as good.
@davidstevan19 ай бұрын
Hi Markus. I’m currently injured so not able try this at my golf course. One thing that intrigues me is the idea that the hand path moves out to the ball and away from the body. As someone who regularly suffers from shanking when trying to swing in to out it seems to go against what I need to do to avoid the shanks. Trust me I can shank a short chip as my swing on such shots sees the club head travel out beyond the ball. I have watched your video on shanks but no good results as yet. I do tend to release the club straight to the ball rather than down and out - bit like you demonstrate. Why don’t you shank - better hand eye coordination?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad9 ай бұрын
One simple reason, I hit the sweat spot or slightly out on the toe side. The drill you saw me do in the shank drill I did with a brick to scare me to do it right and I did it for hours. When you release it in time the hosel will not be the first to reach the ball, the toe will win the race. If you regularly hit the shank when you think you hit the middle, maybe you need to try to hit it with the toe and you will hit the middle. 🤔

Hi Marcus, my thinking is pull up down push. Is that the right thinking for the circle? I was trying your swing back when I started golf but unfortunately I went down the KZbin rabbit hole of swings and now I’m no better than when I started. I’m going to stick with this circle of speed. I’m finding it hard to make contact with the ground at the moment, maybe I should move the ball back more in my stance?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad9 ай бұрын
Welcome back. My hands push towards each other, I don't pull up. No pulling anywhere is a good thought. A ball position to far forward will restrict your possibility to hit it from the inside, try and move it and find what works best.

Hi Marcus, glad you are doing well. I am a subscriber to your site and the concepts have blown me away. I am 70 and overweight but love golf. In your " Hand Path in the circle of speed" I see you accomplish the "pull club back, then go up, down again and then to the ball", however the mechanics of going back down again and then to the ball was not clear to me. I found on another site a drill which helps me do what you show (kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaHEo6etd9iJfbs). Both Steve Pratt and Mike Malaska have some of the same concepts that you have incorporated. One big concept they do not incorporate is the 45 degree concept of coming into the ball!! When I incorporate your concepts as well as the youtube link above, I have gained 30 yards but with a straight / 5 yard fade. Thanks for all your emails.
