OMG, I'm in tears now. I was at that concert... In 1989 I was 19 years old, die-hard fan since 1986. I turned 54 last month and still love them so much.

I love how Alec goes back to give Dave a shake around 11:10. Shows performances like these weren’t just an act that the guys created, but a real feeling between brothers. Alec had a lot of problems, but they were never the same after he left. That chemistry man, something else

this song has always called to mind a film called Sand By Me based on Stephen King's story, many times I had tears i my eyes listening to this...I'm weired this way I guess. This coming of age of stuff and all. Was born in '84, Crush was the first record I bought, Bon Jovi ruled my world back then. You don't forget your first love, do you?

Awesome performance and one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs ever. Its unfortunate that the words of the song didnt ring true as both Richie and Alec are long gone from the band. Only wish it were true.

You're right, hAnD90, this is one of the best versions of Blood on Blood, it's up there with the one from the 1989 Moscow Peace Festival, for the same reasons that you mentioned above. It's a great song, not just because of the lyrics but because Jon and Richie wrote them in all sincerity. Thank you for sharing this 😉

@@aprilschumann3162 yeah..but it fits him..in the 80,s he overscreamed himself and in the 90,s his vocals were to clean. ( not all the time ) .in my opinion of course.

The whole Moscow performance was awesome as well, that BOB is probably in my top 5 too. But it's a bit like Always in Wembley for me - because there's a excellent Pro Shot quality recording, people often regard it as the best. But it's always a matter of taste as well. I've seen comments underneath Blood On Blood from Wembley 2019 on the official channel where people claimed it was the best rendition ever... :D
@nadaurnerova6222 Жыл бұрын
@@hAnD90Hello and don't you have this Blood on blood performance from Moscow 89 on your channel? I would love to see it too and compare with this great one from Rotterdam. Thanks a lot.
In my opinion I think Bon Jovi would've rather released New Jersey album first then Slippery When Wet. Jon is pretty uncontrollable during Slippery When Wet early tour and that damaged his voice badly. I understand he has to do that but it took a toll too much in his vocals. Have they gotten popular with NJ first, Jon wouldn't have to fire up his voice so bad just to be popular.

Played way too fast. For me, the band's peak is at 1995/1996, when Hugh took over the live bass. They became much tighter, and the energy and passion was still there (not as much as in 1989, but still enough for me ;-))
