I've never heard of Sauter. What an amazing instrument. Beautiful tone. I used to own a German-made studio upright and loved it. I would definitely consider owning another one. IMO other brand pianos do not have the same depth of tone, and I think that has something to do with the quality of materials used to make the piano. As you said, this company uses the finest materials. The one I had was also handmade, although the action could have been better, I still really loved that piano. I'm just picky is my problem.

I totally agree from what I'm hearing with your excellent recording setup and playing; i.e., the inner voicing is clear and distinct, and overall the sound quality throughout the entire dynamic range is magnificent. Wow!
