Correction for Collin. The Nazis were NOT technically elected. They lost the presidential election, but president Hindenburg was pressured by industrials fearing the rise communism to nominate Adolf Hitler as chancellor. When Hindenburg died from natural causes soon after, Hitler took the presidency, and merged the two positions into a dictatorship as we all know. I’m just a history enthusiast and wanted to let you know. Keep up the good work :)

At least we study and learn from our country's history and the atrocities it has commited as to not let said history repeat itself ever again instead of gloryfying our country blindly. The people of Germany as a whole today have nothing to do with what happened then and I personally refuse to claim responsibility for it. Granted, there are a lot of mouse/keyboard games that wouldn't be fun to play on the deck in handheld mode, but I think it's incredible that we've reached a point where 1 device can play almost everything via one method or another. I'm so spoiled living in Nebraska. I'm not saying antisemitism isnt here and it hasnt impacted anyone but, to say the temperature regarding Jews has always been luke warm would be an understatement. I know there are Jews hurting but we are so removed from the more far-reaching antisemitism that has popped up nationally. While I do agree that Jews have a long history of oppression and discrimination it is my opinion that the MODERN antisemitic discord is birthed more from subliminal psychological factors. In the US Jews are untouchable. Since WWII Americans are taught to be only sympathetic, Jews are held in esteem, almost pitied, not to be talked about in any other light than one of unflinching support. America defines itself on WW2. We wiped the ultimate evil from earth to protect an oppressed people/religion. To allow Jews to suffer or be seen in a poor light in any way would erode the pedestal the US had built around that moment in history. OF COURSE antisemitism is disgusting, anti any religion is hurtful (and religiosos being anti whatever is equally unwelcome to myself). I think anytime you place a group in a high regard or esteem with no discord allowed you will always have a group that says screw that, no one is perfect. A lit of people refuse to live below the pedestal. Hence the moderm antisemitism cropping up. Just my two sense based on a life of almost ZERO interactions with the Jewish (and Muslim) religion from a flyover state in the heart of America.

Look up the persecution of Jews under the Mamluks. The destruction of the Mokattam Synagogue, the Sultan's forced conversion and killing of Jews. Shall we bring it back to something more recent? You seem to be perfectly fine with holding all Jewish people accountable for the actions of the IDF, even though many of them condemn their actions.
@Fanto_Sir10 ай бұрын
@Beefnhammer no where have I stated that about all Jewish people. That would be ridiculous too. Israeli government is to blame for so much over the last few weeks. To side with Israel over this is something I cannot understand. Nuff said

Listen I love these guys, truly, but it is entirely predictable that one of the right wing people on the podcast only wants to talk about America’s super right-wing ally, Israel and its plight. I’m glad Colin mentioned it but Islamophobia has been a thing since at least 9/11 and for a very long time was totally a part of American culture. So my feeling is that it’s almost like when members of a group of people do heinous shit it inspires negativity towards that group. Israel is simply not innocent in their treatment of the innocent people in Gaza and the West Bank. I also grew up in NY with many many Jewish friends. We freaking spun the dradle and ate Latkas around Hanukah time at my grade/middle/high schools.

Collin says he’s never seen white supremacy in any number like he’s seen now? Did he forget the 2017 demonstrations of neonazis or countless unarmed black men shot by police? I hope Collin if you see this that you look deeper into your blind spots. I love to listen to the podcast but it’s hard to listen to some of your political takes as you just come off so ignorant. Stop using just your personal experience of the world to guide your opinions and take a step back to see that you have a very privileged view of America.

“Countless unarmed black men shot by police”. You know last year it was like 9 right?
@bryanjordan418711 ай бұрын
@@GamerNRetro That’s not true. But even if it was the question is that why does Collin choose to sympathize with the Jewish struggle at the expense of the African American struggle in this country rather than extending his sympathies to see that black people were forced into slavery?

white men get shot by the police 4-1 more than black men. black on black deaths occur more than white on black. blacks make up only 13% of the population and disproportionately commit over 50% of the violent crime. lets talk about that.

Jimmy is always a let down :/ I mean the opening topic, how you all were so wrong about it and how if we put as much effort into actually caring for people instead of symbols, we might actually get somewhere
@NELLYB Жыл бұрын
“Boo hoo, they’re symbol is being removed from places it’s not welcome” yeah, considering it’s being used to justify a literal genocide, I can see why people are so off put by it now
@AK-bd4xh Жыл бұрын
Why don't you offer a legitimate critique and counter argument to the first topic then? Saying they're wrong about it but not offering any actual rebuttal isn't going to generate thoughtful discussion.
@PlayLaughLogan11 ай бұрын
@@AK-bd4xh They did offer legitimate criticism & rebuttal though. They said we should care more about people than symbols. That's all that's needed to be said as I immediately & completely understood what they meant.
@jamesmmu11 ай бұрын
@@PlayLaughLoganwhat does that actually mean, are you saying ignore it as other people are suffering too,?
@PlayLaughLogan11 ай бұрын
@@jamesmmu How does "we should care about people more than symbols" translate to "ignore people suffering because others are too"? If any Jewish person is genuinely experiencing hatred then yes, we should support them, but Colin has a habit of conflating the protest of the state of Israel or legitimate grievances with their actions as antisemitism which they aren't. Israel does not represent the entire international Jewish community and they are not free from criticism. Labeling the topic "Antisemitism", claiming it's separate than the Middle Eastern conflict, then wading into those waters anyway, also proves that it's Colin that is choosing to ignore the sufferings of 1 group of people in order to prioritize the sufferings of other. Antisemitism is important, but it absolutely isn't as worse as the actual genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid that is going on in Gaza. And Colin's insistence of not calling it what it is, being Pro-Israel simply because he grew up around Jews, and then focusing the entire conflict around "well how does the Jewish community feel and suffer from this" is shallow, biased, uneducated, and immensely disappointed from a network that usually offers much more nuance & fair discussions on sensitive subjects. And waving away any personal responsibility for your words by acknowledging your bias doesn't excuse it. Recognizing bias should be your cue to overcome it and gain new perspectives, not dig your heels even deeper by reiterating the same beliefs every chance he gets and just going "but I'm biased!" to justify it.

Douglas Murray is a national treasure, you should check out his latest interview on the Triggernometry podcast. He taught me one of the reasons why jews are hated after id wondered so long, because jews were of the first to turn down Islam, so its 'okay' for them to be hated. Also, Jews are seen as being white, so in this world of intersectionality and in these extreme far left institutions, these 'progressives' see them as the oppressor so its okay for their victims to rise up against them. Truly backwards thinking in this culture of victimhood, 1984 style. It is disgusting that this is being tolerated in the Western world currently, ironically, through fear of being called a racist or bigot by challenging it. Edit - Dustin, the kids are being taught to hate the West, that only we were 'colonisers' and only we must atone for our sins.

He's quite a watch. He'd done an interview with Piers Morgan, and in the midst of the interview he had to take shelter from aerial missiles. After the skies had cleared he calmly returned to the previous deep, and complex interview with the guy. Definitely a guy I've paid attention to with great interest.

Well said. And I think that’s a huge part of the answer colon was looking for about the anti Jew hate going on now especially- they’re white. They’re the oppressors.
