Kaila, thanks for the laugh at the beginning. Nice knives. I want to get one.
Totally enjoy the p87. I purchased one of your first runs in early 2015. Still holds its edge. I need to do a video review of it.

@eliprince16 жыл бұрын
Well done :-) I have some questions for you, if you have the time. First, I'm looking to get into knife making too - do you base your pricing on your labor time, materials cost, or a hybrid of both? Do you do your own heat treats (stainless is picky) or send blanks out? (I watch Walter Sorrels too and his shop is... beyond reach). How long does a typical production knife take you (if you were to time just one, even though I assume you batch/assembly line)? Finally, can you demo how you do kydex? Most makers don't show that part. Thanks, and stay awesome!
@kailacumings6 жыл бұрын
eliprince1 hey!! I have a video on my page on how to do a kydex sheath :) it's a long video but it goes by somewhat fast. I base my prices on steel cost, materials, handle material, pins, etchent, belts...etc I do all of my own heat treating. I have a small propane forge and wasnt able to do stainless steel knives until a few months ago when I got a proper oven. :) it's an expensive hobby for sure but a lot of fun
