Especially since while putting emphasis on some subjective subjects, they avoided others. They put a lot of effort into utilizing scientific terminology and hypothesis into the formation of the print, but not nearly as much into what they just flatly called Magic and how it seemed to make mudokon myth become reality. And I'm sure there's definitely a very small margin of error in their calculations about how one of their planet's satellites wound up with an indentation that could appear to exactly resemble one specific species's hand through natural phenomenon, but that margin would definitely fall if they factored in how it happened twice with the Gabbit moon. Essentially an "I'd have two nickles" scenario.

​@@Mandemon1990Those are gas giants. These planets, being larger and having more mass than rocky planets, havr more moons. Rocky planets like Earth usually don't have that many moons. They could but because of gravitational interactions with each other and the host planet, they either collide with each other or the host planet.

@@sigisoltau6073 Moons are often not as big as ours. Jupiter's smallest moon for example has a radius of 500 meters. It is not implausible for a roughly earth sized planet to have moons in the 60s.

@@devoAC True. But it's not just the size of the moons or planet, it's also the proximity of the planet the the host star. The closer a planet is to the host star, the more the stars gravity pulls on any nearby moons. The earth or other planets could potentially have so many moons, but then they'd have to orbit the earth or planet quite closely on small orbits. And here's the problem I mentioned earlier. If so many moons orbit a planet that closely, their orbits won't remain stable for long because of gravitational interactions with each other and the host planet.

The first part of this video is essentialy canon. Though it was never explicitly stated, its heavily implied the mudokons were once the opressors and the reasons the glukkons fell to alchemy and industrialism in response to the mudokons behavior.

I love this idea, this is stuff we never really see in the games due to the perspective of Abe, I even like how you included the controversial original design of the with the mudokon four fingers, I think a similar video based on Abe either it’s the old continuity’s view of him as a terrorist, or the new continuity’s take of him as a mystery.

This video is awesome! So much work and skill were put into it and it shows! Even though this is only 70% accurate as the description states, this could easily fit into the Oddworld lore. I can imagine this being some old but not hidden recording that the Glukkons used to essentially rewrite history. Of course, they made themselves the superior good guys, paint the Magog cartel as some divine blessing to Oddworld, and portrayed the Mudokons as evil and meanspirited to make themselves look better. I can imagine this being part of the "hundreds of lies" Abe had to learn from the Keeper. Either way good job on the video, it's nice to see more Oddworld content!

Thank you! :) Perhaps most interestingly, the Mudokons once being somewhat evil isn't entirely propaganda and is actually one of the accurate parts! Or at least, it's something Lorne Lanning has spoken about before. Not sure whether it's still considered canon, or if it ever even was considering there's never any mention or hint of this history in the games. But it's just a backstory I believe Lorne spoke about many years ago that not a lot of people seem to know I think but I've always found it such a fascinating concept! That the Glukkons are evil now because the Mudokons were evil in the past.

This definitely feels like something you'd see in something like an Oddworld equivelant of a school, during a history class. While i respect the restraint to avoid doing the cliche of modern horror (jumpscares or drastic loud noises), i would call the video horror, it's still a solid effort. I personally never found analog horror in general scary in all honesty, mildly discomforting, sure, but not out right fear inducing. But i know that Oddworld has potential for horror, and i can see why you decided to make a horror video based on it. Regardless, this is a really well made video and if there are plans for it to keep going, i'm looking forward to see what it has to offer.

Glukkons making a fake history documentary is honestly so in-character. It's not even really analog horror, just straight up fan made worldbuilding. Like in real life, not everyone in a creed will match bestowed stereotypes to a T. Thus, if Abe is an exceptional mudokon who is a lot harder to control than others, who's to say there aren't gluks who don't consider muds to be err... subglukkon? Thus, this video.

I believe that perhaps at some point, there was a Glukkon moon during the reign of the Mudokon, And the moon prints are a sign of a change of power, And the reason it seems to keep changing (revealing the Gabbit moon and what not) is whomever has divinity over the Oddworld, call to their races to rise and stand up against an imbalance But each time theyve seemed to risen up, theyve just kept falling into disbalance

I really liked the addition of the fact that the Mudokons have actually waged war with the Glukkons and other Oddworld species in the past, complete with actual weapons. So how much of this is AI? Some of it looks like believable scenes from the games and such. How much of it is AI generating vs Editing and animation? I've seen from your war of the worlds animations that you can partially handle that. Like how well animated the pre-evolution Glukks are.

Looking back through it, I think there's about 8 shots that used AI, so out of a 10 minute long video I'd guess maybe 15% give or take. The Glukks weren't animated with AI though.

I played Oddworld when I was a kid and it heavily influenced me. I first started drawing the Scraps and paramites and invented own fictional levels for the game. Later on I studied Gamedesign and learned how to do 3D modeling. I worked many years in the games industry and learned how to use Unreal Engine. With all these skills combined I could finally create my own 'Oddworld' game throughout 3 years besides my main jobs. You know, it will be interesting, and this is going off of all the knowledge I have off of all the world you have the move Dockins, who would be the rightful rulers of the world then you have munches species, which would be their partners in the world with the second moon so where would that put stranger who species I cannot remember the moment, but this way you have the mood Dockins rule the land you have munches species, who rule the seas then you have strangers species, who would watch over the other species as a protector while his species may not have a main rule in the world they are important nevertheless, to watch all the other species who live on the planet and make sure they are well protected because there is a wide variety of species. My question is where I’m trying to go with this idea is on the other side of the coins. You have the Glackens the VIKERS along with the slings, who wow don’t have a main important rule they would be in the same position as stranger from strangers wrath you have two ruling species and a protector species. My question I like to propose is what if someone knew that a certain side would have benefits if they won, so they deliberately used their magic to put a new docking handprint on the moon along with munches species handprint on the moon in order to start a war I say this, because why is it that those two species are the ones with their hand prints on the moon you have chickens people you have lizard people you have a species of Stranger Ethan frog like bandits tribal fish people again how come out of all the species only two and maybe three if you include stranger in that category got their hand prints on the moon what if someone wanted to become the dominant species but in so they needed to sever the connection between the Glackens and the mu Dawkins, and so on and so forth I know that this is all far-fetched, and Lorne Lanning probably did not have this in mind. If I can straight up, told us that there would be a I think a triangular trilogy. I can’t remember the word where it’s stranger, Münch, and Abe, whose species are meant to rule and everyone else is a lesser species just something fun to think about and nice work on the video.
