I have no dog in this Metallica/Megadeth fight. I couldn't care less what you prefer to listen to and frankly find this endless bashing quite stupid. The fact that you listen to Metal makes you one of the family. There is no right or wrong, it's all about feeling the music, and what makes you feel it is your own intimacy with it. Fast forward to 1986, I was a 17 year old High School Senior and confirmed metalhead going to the record store at the mall and seeing the posters for Master of Puppets. Since I was already a fan, I bought both the LP (which I still have to this day) and the cassette so I can listen to it in the car on my way home. Two words come to mind when Damage Inc ended after listening to the entire album: "mind blown". Then I saw them live in 1989. I saw many concerts prior to that one and many since but that concert is the one I will always remember. Outdoors, smaller venue, muggy summer evening, 21 years old and one hell of a buzz on. God I miss the 80s!

Certainly my favourite Metallica album. As you said, the 'intensity' does not let-up for the entire album.

You HAVE to react to ...And Justice For All and Ride The Lightning. Doesn't matter which one is first but they are PRIME METALLICA ALBUMS

I love those albums, but their production is a little iffy on both of those albums this one is the best.

@metal dragoon I agree that Master of Puppets is the best and that the production on the other two could be better, but if Alex is going to react to another Metallica album it should be either Ride the Lightning or ...And Justice For All!

Like I said on the Sanitarium video that's almost up to 1k likes, just do Metallica's whole catalogue in order. We will love it!!!

Time to go song by song for Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime. The most perfectly written album.

Agreed. Have thought so since around 87. Best album ever. To me, the best 3 in the genre ever came out around same time. Peace Sells, Master Of Puppets, and Reign in Blood.
