It's an alternative for short term use. It's brilliant. Some people don't even need to use the handle in the front after awhile. It just takes some getting used to.

It’s an amazing product

The first time I saw this was on Harrison Ford who broke something in his lower leg while filming a Star Wars movie. The alternative is a knee scooter which also seems dangerous at first, but people still get the hang of it.

I wish something like this was around years ago when I broke my ankle. I was on crutches for weeks and I never was able to master them.
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
And using crutches is hard on your body
@wadehamlinАй бұрын
How long will you be non weight bearing?
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
Up to 2 months
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
Well maybe not 2 moths non weight bearing. I’m not sure on that one

Isn't it kind of a pain to put on say like just to go to the bathroom or something like that?

Oh my word yes!!

But so is dragging crutches to the can.
@wadehamlinАй бұрын
@@lorieakin5771 I don't know, just my opinion but you got to put it on to go take it off do your business then put it back on. I think I'd just rather crutch it.

Are you in a cast?

I’m in a splint for now. They need to do surgery because the bone is displaced. After that I’m not sure what they’ll put me in.
@wadehamlinАй бұрын
@@ThedailyLfam I hope you will post more of your recovery. Good luck with your surgery.

@wadehamlin I’m definitely going to try to. Thank you so much

If you don't have to be up and around for a long time which do you use?

It more depends on what I’m getting up to do really

@@ThedailyLfam Are you getting better on your crutches?
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
Yes it’s been getting a lot more comfortable
@pacodelahoya2000Ай бұрын
So it's not hands free and if your knee is immobilized it's useless. Just sayin.
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
It works quite well for me
@pacodelahoya2000Ай бұрын
I'm glad it works for you, but it is only hands free when you're immobile... Just like a crutch that you can lean against the wall. I get that you can stand and not have to hold it, but if you can't bear weight or your knee is wrecked, it's back to crutches.
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
@pacodelahoya2000 apologies. I understand what you are saying now. No, unfortunately it wouldn’t be a good option then. That’s terrible too because crutches are hard
@lorieakin5771Ай бұрын
@@pacodelahoya2000it's temporary. Plus taking it off at night for stretching and isometric exercises you would lose that much muscle tone. The knee placement is padded btw.
@ThedailyLfamАй бұрын
@lorieakin5771 I like how it has padded pieces to cover the straps too. That way the straps don’t dig into your skin
