The Touch ID with intel verdict is still questionable. Apple did list Intel models on the compatibility page and technically the Intel models listed do have Apple Silicon in the T2 chip. The old lightning version worked also on the Intel models with the T2 chip so I assume with them still being listed on the compatible models section this would still be true.

@inspectorgadget346Ай бұрын
You get it. Nice to see you can see through the marketing. There is a financial incentive to the business while selling the benefit to the user but fail to point out the real truth to the client. @Karras353Ай бұрын
Honestly I suspect you are over thinking it regarding the port on the mouse. I think the simple answer as to why you charge it in the missionary position has always been that they did not want to go to the trouble of redesigning it since the non-rechargeable version, which I had for a while some years ago. The form factor of it does not really lend itself to a port on the front. I guess they could have put it on the side, though that would have been a minor sacrifice to the clean lines of it. Ultimately it is a case of form over function, though I did find it pretty usable and it is not the only mouse to sacrifice ergonomics for compactness or some other gimmick. But it is about the only one that I can think of that is currently rechargeable and yet does not have a sensible place to plug it in.

The location of the charging port on the mouse isn't a bother to me. A full charge will typically last over two months, which can be done when I am not using the mouse. By the way, I am using an older version, but it seems this still applies to the latest version.

Just ignore the crappy mouse and only buy the trackpad. Heck im surprised how trackpads haven't taken over since they are superior to mice for most tasks. The only time I've ever wanted to grab a regular mouse is if I was trying to play a video game and so ya. I noticed most games that uses the paddle controller from the Atari 2600 work pretty well with the trackpad but FPS games need access to the buttons for shooting and what not. Basically If the game needs access to the buttons then using the trackpad doesn't work as well.
