I’m really excited that they actually added support for the application key (contextual menu)

I have to say, this was a really useful rundown of the different interface options. The magic mouse features are great, but I find the form factor and ergonomics don't suit my large hands. Very interested to try the magic trackpad, wasnt event aware it was an option

I just purchased EVERYTHING brand new with Apple. Starting with my iPad M4 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, Mac mini M4 Pro fully loaded, maxed out at two terabytes storage ❤, the reasons are easy... their proprietary M4 in-house chipsets. A complete game changer ❤

As a long time PC user, and relatively recent Mac convert (about 10 years ago), I admit to being old school (I am stuck on most laptops without a mouse, have never found a trackpad I liked - obviously need to try the new one from Apple). Like the ID of touch ID on the keyboard, but very tempted to find a decent mechanical keyboard I can use with the Mac.

I love the way the Magic Mouse worked, but my hands do NOT like the shape. My mom has the 2nd Magic Trackpad and Keyboard, I use them now with my M4 iPad Pro and it works wonderfully. I love how smooth it integrates into iPadOS. Thanks for an awesome, detailed review. *Edit* It really do be the people that wouldn’t own an apple device that complain the most about them. I do understand, as a ton of apple users can be condescending. Not any different than the other side though, they tend to brag about things we may be envious of, but we obviously still chose what we desire. Sorry for the ones who didn’t get to.

I like the Magic Mouse for short bursts or when my trackpad is on charge but not all the time, LOL. But compared to EVERY OTHER MOUSE I have used the Magic Mouse is the best once you add the extra gestures to it in the settings. Also the Magic Trackpad is larger than the Trackpad on the 16 inch Macbook Pro and really handy when you have to walk around the room and use it.

I wish that a company that popularized dongles would offer a dongle for the mouse and keyboard so I could use KVM or USB switch...

This old normal have used the same Logitech K750-mac keyboard since it first came out. Going to use it until it dies, and then if Logitech still makes this model will buy another one. Have never had an issue with the charging port being on the bottom of my Apple Magic Mouse. Used Apple Magic Mouse since it first came out only after installing Elevation Lab Magic Grips for Apple Magic Mouse 1 & 2 - [Improves Comfort, widens Grip, Gives You More Control] $14.99 US 11/2024 Amazon. Before that was ready to just put it in storage as the edge of the mouse cut into my fingers. You might want to give this option a try. If I was in the production world I am sure I would use the Apple TrackPad. More than likey would use both the Apple Magic Mouse, and Apple TrackPad together working on a production.

is the magic keyboard included black? or white?

Immediate thought, this video could have been 10 seconds long. It’s the same products as always with USB not Lightning.

I am writing this to warn people about the Magic Keyboard. I purchased a new iPad and Magic Keyboard last week. Two days later I was sitting on my couch with the iPad and keyboard on my coffee table in front of me when smoke started pouring out of the back of it. I removed the iPad from the keyboard and the smoke stopped. The hinge on the keyboard in the back was melted . After a week of run a round from apple they informed me that I must have put the keyboard next to something hot and that it was my fault. There was nothing within 2 ft of the keyboard so basically apple ripped me off for 350.00. I keep thinking what if this happened at night when I would be charging it next to my bed, toxic smoke?, a fire ? I could have lost my life and home. Please rethink your purchase id hate if this happened to someone else.
Hello. I want to get into Apples ecosystem. Im sick of windows! What would be the best laptop and phone for me to get being an average user? I just use email, surf the web and watch videos! Thanks for your help!

iPhone 16. Instead of a laptop, I would consider a 10th-generation iPad with a Magic Keyboard Folio. It can handle all the basic stuff a laptop can, you have a keyboard and trackpad when you need it, but you'll also have a tablet that's nicer for the living room sofa. If you're deadset on a laptop, MacBook Air. Possibly wait for the M4 version next spring if you want.

@@dgriffinjonesi would agree. A 16 or 16 Plus is good. However, since you’re coming from Windows and are use to a “real” computer, go for the MacBook Air. As far as processors go, the current M3 Air is more than adequate but Apple still does sell the M2 version. It’s a little cheaper if you’re on a budget. The good news is that all Macbooks start out with 16gb of RAM so that’s a win for everyone.

If you don’t need to be mobile, get an m4 mini

iPad 10th gen or iPad Air with Logitech folio touch cuz they can handle the basics. I would say an iPhone 13 or 14, they have a good price and can handle the most basics.
