Perfect button layout for Mortal Kombat and that's all that counts, because this Stick is made specific for MK. I like it, it's real nostalgic

Best layout ever, It's set up perfect for umk3 on xbox live. Also the original spacing and layout as the original arcade machines. Works on mame also, just plug it in the usb, don't have to download anything. 4 above 4 is a japanese layout, while great for street fighter or mvc it blows for mortal kombat, always has.

Just to clarify: I'm getting MK9 on PS3, so I can use the stick with that, MK2, and MK Trilogy the way they were intended. Plus, with a few drivers I could use this with MAME! Sounds like a good deal to me!

It's really nice. The look is totally nostalgic. But I already have a SF4 Round 2 TE stick. So I'll be playing MK9 with that. Much as I love this, i can't justify buying a stick I can only use with one game.

@FearCarlos the x-ray is easy. you have to push front kick, back kick and block (X, circle, R1 on the PS3) together and you perform the x-ray. Mortal Kombat was made with that stick in mind and you can perform every move with these five buttons. to perform a throw you have to push front punch and front kick together. It's very easy to push tehse buttons together because you use your entire hand on five buttons

@mkfan1980 Throw Is the left two buttons at the same time, and the x-ray are the bottom three at the same time.

I really hope PDP releases another version of the stick with a 3-over-3 button layout so I can use it for more than just MK.

@TheIndudey360 you could use any stick to play fighting games with. Im sure with some button remapping you could pull it off if you become comfortable with the button layout. Personally, it'd take me time to get used to it, but thankfully I already have another arcade stick to use on such games. :)

@MekinoseHD It's just a usb connection and also in the PAL region so it should work on a UK machine.

Ocean, The price at Target.com is only for the Kollector's edition (with the bookend and artbook). It just has the wrong picture and instead the PS3 version should be the same picture as well for the Xbox 360 version. They just borked the picture.

It looks like an awesome stick, but I wish that they made the layout a bit more versitile! If I bought one I would probably end up hacking up the top panel with a router and installing a 6-button mounting plate (I'd have to make a new sheet of plexi glass, too).

@hughdr10 That is the " American Style" arcade stick, while the ones you may have seen are Japanese style.

Plano Texas? Holy crapathon, I'm just a stones throw away....well sort of.... Any chance their heading to Amarillo? I already bought that bad mama jamma. It's realy durable and I must say it's the best fight stick I have out of the five that I have in my collection.

I don't understand why the directional stick (or whatever it's called) is just like in Street Fighter. What I mean is in Street Fighter you have to do full/half/quarter circles for special moves. In Mortal Kombat it's straight down, up, forward or back. I'm used to playing MK with d-pad and SF with the stick.

i have 2 of them bought them when it mk9 first came out and bought the 2 copies of the kollector edition and still using them on my pc playing mk 11

@yoshitoraakuma When you get used to the arcade stick some things are easier and it is a much better gameexpirience. But dont expect wonders. I f it is your first time with a stick, you will find it pretty hard to play, because you're not used to it. You have to play and practice alot. If you take your time and get comforttable with a fightstick, you will never ever touch a joypad again for a fightinggame.

@PEKET0 i hope i get the sub zero skin, but i looked on best buy.com and they said only the standard edition gets the skin, i hope thats not a fact :/. but if i don't ill just buy a skin on ebay when the game comes out.

oh, just 18 screws to get to get to the guts - thats what i call modding friendly. and the fucked up Button layout does the rest. I stay with the MadCatz TE sticks.
