Rode's first foray into wireless audio, the RodeLink Filmmaker Kit is a digital system that is very easy to use with a 100 meter line of site range.

Big thumbs up for Rode with their RodeLink Filmmaker kit. Very user friendly, also the test showcases the great quality, low interference with just the right amount of ambient noise/ sound which I personally love.

Really not a bad price at all considering what you're getting. Patching a boom mic into the transmitter gives some interesting possibilities too.

Unfortunately, the rode system cannot be used next to another. As they do not operate on separate frequencies, they would interfere with one another. *Christina* AskAudio@bhphoto.com

really? i thought that was the whole idea of pairing bunch of Tx's & Rx's and then they automatically scan for better more stable frequencies. If it doesn't then it's not worth it.

Looks like it has a built in choke at the end of the cord where it plugs into the transmitter. That would be cool if it did...

In order to do an interview setup with 2 people, do I need something like a zoom H4/H6 to get the audio from both systems? Or what are my other options? Thanks for this video

Bought one of these kits and after the warranty ran out I had issues with the mic. Rode use a non-standard mic plug on this system and so other models do not work with it. You can't seem to get replacement mics anywhere? My kit is now useless, so be warned!

I'd appreciate a bit of clarity on this spec "Output connection 3.5mm TRS Locking Jack Socket - Dual Mono." Is that to say this kit can't output stereo sound? It's just one 3.5 mm TRS jack plugging into the camera or whatever correct? I was thinking of using this kit and a TRS to TRRS adapter and plugging it into my iPhone 6s for a voice to text app seeing as I'm deaf.
@BandH

This system features a monophonic microphone capsule. It will send a MONO audio signal to both the Left and Right channels of a TRS stereo connection. In other words, the identical signal will be received by your recording device on both left and right channels of the stereo track. >Mark

is it possible to connect 2 transmitters to 1 receiver? one connects and the other doesn't... but pressing CH on the receiver switches to the other one but then again the other one is not on. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. if anyone has a video on how to do it please provide the link. Rode Filmmaker kit

Is Rode Link is wired with a standard polarities? So if I want to use COS-11D mics with it would it work? Also is sample rate changes to 48kHz?

+Greenjah81 This RODE RodeLink system is specifically designed for the included RODE lavalier mic. Connecting third party products may damage the transmitter and void the Limited 2-Year Warranty. RODE has not published the wiring schematic. Mark S

Is this a good option for recording a dance instructional video with music in the background?
@BandH
@BandH 9 жыл бұрын
+BurlyFit This should be fine for narration purposes. But wearing a lavaliere microphone may not be practical for a moving dancer or instructor. You may also want to consider the Audio Technica AT897 shotgun microphone kit which is available exclusively through B&H. This kit consists of the Audio Technica AT897 shotgun microphone, universal shockmount and XLR to 1/8" mini cable for connecting to mini inputs on consumer video gear, portable recorders, etc. The Audio Technica AT897 is a short shotgun condenser microphone designed for audio capturing in video and broadcast applications. The microphone's unobtrusive length of 11" (279.40mm) ensures that the microphone remains out of the frame when mounted on compact, consumer video cameras.The microphone's narrow pick up pattern enhances signal reproduction when capturing audio at long range. Excellent off-axis sound rejection minimizes noise and ambiance, emphasizing the desired signal. A wide frequency response provides accurate sound reproduction of signals registering at various frequencies. A low-cut frequency switch eliminates noise and hum registering at the low frequency range. The microphone operates on a single 1.5V AA battery or 11V - 52V phantom power.This Kit Includes:Audio-Technica AT897 Line and Gradient Condenser MicrophoneAuray DUSM-1 Universal Shock Mount for Camera Shoes and BoompolesKopul LMT100 - Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer (1.5') Please contact us via e-mail if you have additional questions: askbh@bandh.com >Mark

We had to have the mic repaired after it arrived and haven't done a big trial with it yet. I've just been recording directly to my computer, or recording with my iPhone and then doing voice-over for the audio tracks -- which actually works very well for not getting out of breath or having to memorize all of my choreography for long videos.

+B and H hi, just tried again with expensive batteries and it still performs badly, we keep having signal cuts at distances from 15-40 m. We've also tried in different environments (at the beach, in a busy street, in a library) and it's never working as promised. I'll upload some examples so you can see this cuts
