Omg! I did the elbow stand like on the first try, I wasn't expecting that at all! Being upside-down stable like that was a wild experience! I felt like the world was woozy-wonky and I wouldn't be able to hold here for long because my body wasn't used to being fully inverted, but after about 10 seconds it seems to have adjusted! Even still, I had to come out of it, because my neck was getting tired, LOL! Thanks for these videos Morgan, I'm going to go for these handstands, slowly but surely!

I can’t wait to try! I have the strength part and the flexibility/mobility but I just can’t get the shape. Arching is my issue because prior to having my third child, I practiced handstands every day BUT the wrong way. I kicked up and would balance with my back arched and legs split. Sometimes I would hold for 20 seconds but it was so so sloppy and obviously inconsistent. I didn’t practice while pregnant so now I am starting over the right way this time and hope to get it.
@MorganRoseMoroney4 жыл бұрын
Good idea! Definitely better to learn the good way and be able to do any sort of handstand rather than learn with an arched back and only be able to do that. Also very inspiring that you are a mumma out here learning handstands. So cool!

Could you do a video about stretches to open up the chest and shoulders? When I first started working on handstands I didn’t even have enough range of motion to put my arms straight over my head. I’ve improved a bit but I still feel like that’s something that holds me back.
@Lalelexable4 жыл бұрын
me too! I cannot put my arms straight over my head because of my shoulders
@cocatezz4 жыл бұрын
@@Lalelexable Same! I can't find balance at all when I open my shoulders like Morgan does and I feel like it's both super uncomfortable and even slightly painful? but I can find balance sometimes when I lean forward a bit which results in an arch but it means I can be a bit more comfortable and I feel way stronger that way :( I keep doing shoulder mobility exercises but there's barely any improvement if any and I've been practising handstands for good 3 months consistently. Not sure whether it's just how it will be or whether I can actually do something about it.

What Do you recommand for people with wrist pain because of being on handstand? Not injury, just pain that goes away after finishing handstand exercices.
@annasala37044 жыл бұрын
Hi Morgan! You are so amazing!! You have inspired me to learn my handstand! I have a question, I can do the kick up drill great and even do the come off the wall exercise, but my wrists start getting painful really quick. I stretch them a lot and even wear wristbands but it still hurts. I am not sure why is that happening but it forbides me to do longer sessions to practice my handstand.

I'm just starting out and have done handstands as a kid for fun, but never been able to hold, but i have always been terrified of kicking up to a wall, are there any ways to progress between practise kick up and kick up to a wall? Loving this series! x
@mia17392 жыл бұрын
Hi Morgan. If we are struggling with exercise where we kick up to the wall then take both feet off for a few seconds, what should we work on? I feel hollow and tight but I’m just not able to take both feet off.
